Hey, I am gonna take a page out of my buddy teenkillers book and review this series! I will just add the other reviews as I get around to watching each one (I got the box set in the mail yesterday.) Anyway here's my review of the original. Now, unlike the first 2 movies I have reviewed I had actually seen 99% of this movie, but it was on TV. I still loved it then, so of course I...

After his boy is killed by reckless dirt biker teens, Ed Harley, with the help of an old witch, summons a veagance demon by the name of Pumpkinhead to kill all the kids involved. I just bought the Pumpkinhead Special Edition dvd and popped it in for a look-see. I hadnt seen the film in a long time and forgot just how good it was. Pumpkinhead is a badass flick. Theres no extra fat or ...

Over the past few months I have been getting millions of requests (translation: ZERO) to review the Children of the Corn franchise. I won't exactly be reviewing the entire franchise at the moment though because I still haven't had luck in finding a copy of parts 4 and 7. The first three films will have to be sufficient for the time being. SPOILERS FOR CHILDREN OF THE CORN!! Children...

Title: Basket Case 2 (1990) Director: Frank Henenlotter Review: Frank Henenlotter is one of those directors that is proud to wear his freak badge. He loves for his films to be grimmy dirty films, the kind of film you feel they wiped the floor of the movie theater with. So why was Basket Case 2 so clean cut? Story picks up right where the first Basket Case...

Finally, I made a thread about this movie after talking about it for oh so long. I originally got this movie because it was praised as a great color zombie flick that came out before Dawn of the Dead. While thats all fine and dandy, I think its more comparable to Zombi 2, and quite possibly superior. I once read that this flick was a crappy euro-horror flick that turned out to be a lot ...

MINOR SPOILERSSS!!! The Hitcher is a simple enough film. A young man named Jim Halsey is driving across the middle of nowhere picks up a hitchhiker. Little does this young man know he picked up a twisted murder who loved playing mind games with his quarry. This movie kicks ass. Its a simple film, having very little dialog, but it works. This flick has a dreamlike quality that I love. ...

The Best Reviews in the World ~ This is a series of movie reviews that destroy other movie reviews. These reviews eat other reviews. They are the best movie reviews in the world. In the world. WORLD-RENOWNED freelance writer Count (goddamn) Chocula (a.k.a. Dom Coccaro) is pleased to bring you droning dissertations on films that no one cares about. It is your privilege to read this shit. ...

Again, this is not a review. Rather, it is an analysis of the themes, metaphors and other artistic aspects in the film. Tell me what you think about this piece. I hope you like/ agree with it, but I am open to any criticism. P.S. Also, if you have the time, check out my "The Mist" review in that thread, as well as my album reviews in the music thread. Thanks! The Fly (1986)...

I'm going to start taking review requests. If there is a film you want me to tackle, mention it here and I'll do my best to get ahold of it (I've got Netflix at my fingertips). Since Teenkiller's reviews are popular in this forum, I talked to him about taking requests. He is currently having computer issues, but if he owns the film in question, he'll review it. He'll have more flexibility ...

It's been two years since I've seen this, but I'm pretty much with you all the way. The first two acts are pretty "meh" and time-consuming, but man, once all the characters are plunked down into the underworld...good fucking times. I'll be re-watching this, both to review for my site and for a paper in one of my classes. Not a great film, but it certainly did its part in the evolution of ...

SPOILERS FOR BOTH AMERICAN PSYCHO FILMS!! American Psycho (2000) I somehow came to the American Psycho party pretty late. Having a knack for serial killer films I somehow missed it in theatres despite the fact that I was working at one during the time of it's release. I caught it a couple of years ago when I finally bought the dvd and it was quite different from what I ...

I think I was warned against doing this thread a few weeks ago but dammit I just can't resist! SPOILERS FOR 976-EVIL!!! 976-EVIL (1989) It's certainly a strange premise to try to turn into a film. A hotline from hell that slowly changes the dialer into a creature of evil? How do you sell that? I suppose a good start would be to get a big genre name like ROBERT ENGLUND to...

Yessir. After thinking long and hard doing an American Werewolf in London/Paris review thread seemed like the best thing to do. Why? I don't know. An American Werewolf in London (1981) I don't know if I mentioned this but I'm not really a fan of werewolf films. Actually I avoided the genre for years but now even more recently after feeling adventurous there hasn't been much ...

Hey, I never really post in here much, but I am starting to watch all of the horror classics that I had never seen before. Yes, there are a lot you will not believe I had not seen before. This is one of em. I actually saw the Rob Zombie one first, and that is probably rare . Anyway, I will try my hand at my first horror review. Halloween Like I mentioned before. I am in the ...

OK, I am continuing my quest to see all the big horror movies. Today it was Child's Play, and I must say, it was totally badass. I love the slashers with the most unlikely murderers in em (I saw all 6 Leprechaun movies before I saw any of the major Horror movies, lol). In this case, that cute little doll Chucky. The story really just comes down to the boys friendship with this cute little ...
