Speaking of discounts, my Optics Ready 556, with Swiss Parts; was not the most money I've paid for a gun. I was able to get two $100 rebates from Sig (for a 1911 and the 556) because I'm a LEO; the 556 ended up costing me $962 out the door.

Got some odd feedback on the DB... seems a dude bought one and brought it back a few weeks later with a cracked frame after a range day. He sent it back and it was returned good as new in 3 days with an extra magazine and has had it for a couple months with no problems since. So it would seem like any new gun, there are potential problems, cracked frame being a bad one. But their customer service and turn around time are apparently on point....

Do you wear a "tactical" knife clipped to your pocket? Any other kind of knife clipped to your pocket? You could yank that out in a crowd and do some pretty severe damage before you were stopped, IF you were stopped in today's society. Look what four or five assholes did with box cutters in an airplane. Why is it not "making a statement" when you have a knife clipped to your pocket or *shudder* a sheath...

Do you recollect something called a 915? I picked one up in 93, shot it very little and it resides in its box. Its kinda a budget version of yours.

Just got the OK from the wife to come down and shoot for a day. A friend, whose flame thrower I repaired, has been authorized to burn an abandoned house on another friends property. I'm enthusiastic about this burn because, well, I like fire. Will be traveling light, only 2 rifles, and maybe some #2 oil for fuel, YAY FIRE!
