I don't know how it would suit your specific requirements so I am only commenting on the fact that it is massive. Benchmade 610 Rukus. Of course what is massive to me may not be to you. It certainly does not have a 6" blade like the Ti Lite but it is by far the largest folder in my collection. Check out its size here. If you look carefully you will notice it is larger than half of my fixed blades....

Its most likely why most the long time collectors don't hang out over there like they use to.

Busse knives are about as foolproof as a knife can get. Made out of a really good proprietory steel(Infi). Very tough and relatively corrosion resistant. I just wish they'd grind them a bit thinner. But, then they'd probably not be quite as foolproof that way.

Nice review. I would go for the RC-3 over all the others due to the thinner steel... but that's just me. Look forward to your field test opinions.

Mike, I have no experience with Tops or knives of the type you reviewed. So your review was of particular interest. That is a really great review. The pics let me see the actual size and utility. I would never have thought that a knife like this would be so useful. Thanks for the review.

Have you tried to sharpen it ? VG-10 is a very good Steel. I doubt it is a heat treat problem. VG-10 is a Restricted Steel. It cannot be sold to or used by anyone but a japanese maker and the Heat Treat is done under the supervision of Hitachi to insure that it is done correctly. I'm sure that the knife is NOT brittle.

David Boye "Prophet" folder I am anxiously awaiting delivery of a new Boye "Prophet" folder. My original was about 11 years old and still perfect but I lost it while surf fishing out on Long Island. For an every day carry knife, I have never found anything else as good as a Prophet and being a knife lover, I keep looking and trying. ...
