Seriously, asking the question "can I do it" is pretty pointless. Of course it can be done. Whether the cost, and/or time needed to do things with guitars is the real thing to be asking.

Ahk, I have the red wire from the pickup wired straight to the batterie's red wire(as Seymour Duncans site had told). Then the black wire from the battery is in the left ring on the input Jack. The white wire from the pickup goes into the 1st ring on the pot. The second ring on the pot goes to the tip on the input Jack. Then the bare wire from the pickup goes onto the pot. And the ring farthest right on the pot is soldered to the top of...

Well let's say around 2,000 dollars. Maybe something a little more powerful than '15-30W' for small gigs.

What Amp do you have and what sound are you looking for? You might find that a different amp will make more of a difference!

Wiring Dimarzio in RGA 121?

This is what I've come up with, I haven't installed it yet. Thought I'll give you guys a look at it first. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/105...ingsschema.jpg I'm using the colorcode that I posted earlier: Ibanez -> Dimarzio Red -> Red Black -> Black White -> Green Green -> White But that leaves out the White and Black on the bridge pickup, what to do?! Merry Christmas EDIT: Oh btw,...

I don't know about the single coil pup, but for the Neck and Bridge, I'd drop a set of Dimarzio d-activators. They have that active pickup "OOMPH", and they don't sound sterile like actives do.

I think there are a few better bridge pickups out there nowadays than the X2N, have a look at the DiMarzio Deactivator and Deactivator X for some modern metal bridge pickups.
Also,
I don't see the point of the Super Distortion S in the middle, for playing metal withthe other pickups you mention, would you ever really want that sort of pickup there, I'd suggest a Chopper or Fast Track ...

I have a pair of the Nashville Vintage filtertron copies, and they sound
great. I put them in an Epi Joe Pass model to make a poor man's Brian
Setzer, and they were a great improvement over the stock Epi pickups.
Do a forum search, you'll get more info.

I'm sure you can put in a sustainer in to the guitar. Probably worthwhile
seeing a guitar tech about installing one though if you cannot understand
the instructions for installation.
