High amp switch relay help...
Published (2009-11-27 21:12:00)
Ya, look at most stock wiring, it's all that way. Hot wire to the fuse box (though you'll have that wire fused as well for the total load value), fused each individual circuit, then to the control system (relay) and out to the end result. You can activate the relays any number of ways. Switch, keyed circuit, both, etc. That's the beauty of it.

High amp switch relay help...
Published (2009-11-27 21:34:00)
So if I want the lights only to turn on with the parking light on for example, all the switch supply wires would be tied into the parking light circuit on the Jeep right? Should the supply wire(s) be run off of a relay to protect the parking light circuit? The reason I ask is that the supply wire(s) will be for up to 5 switches. I know the amp draw of the supply wires is not much but would that "circuit" be safer/better if it...

Need Spark!!
Published (2009-11-25 17:37:00)
My ignition coil went bad this past May which was the first time I have ever had one go bad in over 40 years of driving. That it happened on a very tough rock crawling trail right after having done a mod that required disconnecting the fuel pump sure fooled me into concentrating on a potential fuel pump problem. I never suspected the coil until someone insisted I double check it. Sure enough, no spark... my coil had crapped out on me.

A relay for a fuse box? Not necessary. Just run the main wire to the fuse box, fused to that amount (100A for example, 4 AWG wire (that short distance should be fine)), and use relays for the individual items afterward.
I don't even know of a relay that capable other than a solenoid. Not the same thing.

IT's most likely a lose ground behind the dash. Just get back there and see
if you can find the lose wire. You might use a rubber glove and then see if
you can find the bundle that makes it happen by wiggling it.

Did you check the fuse in the fuse box? This time did you disconnect the battery before going on this adventure and forget to reconnect? Make sure your battery wire (to maintain memory) and accessory (to turn it off when the engine's off) are connected to the right locations, even though this should make no difference in the "no power" issue.

Man, I honestly can't answer your question, but I was about to get one of these batteries for my YJ and can't decide which one to get.
I don't have a lot of electrical stuff, but I do have an amplifier and soon will have 2 100W KC's.
Do I do the red or yellow?
