Im carrying a Taiwan passport with visa free privileges for 90 days. I would like to know if you are eligible to work having visa waiver status. Is it allowed to upgrade your visa to working visa after finding an employer. Your reply will be deeply appreciated.

This year and the two exams next year will be the last for the traditional four level format. In 2010 the "New JLPT" test is set to begin. Although the main rationale is that there is to be a bridge between 3 and 2 in the new system of five levels it is also hinted at that level N1 will be harder than the traditional JLPT1. Just i got a job in a small bar karaoke in Roopongi. The boss is nigerian but since I'm just arrived here(onlyone month) I don't know if this guy is serious or not, Hope he doens't cheat me with kind of fraud, no payment and so on. Any experience from other users here with the same kind of people? Thanks Robert

Hi, I am 20 years old and am going to be going to Japan for summer skool. It is through an exchange program and I will be in Tokyo. I am a pretty nervous because I am going alone and will not know anyone. This is my issue. Is it fairly easy to meet people in Japan, including male friends and female friends?? Also, how are girls/women in Japan? Do they go on dates often - ...

GP has been a little thin on quality threads recently, and the pretenders to the throne have not really been up to snuff, with the obvious exception of Tomoko, whose fine work is an inspiration to all. I am not sure where new_daves has been hiding, but he and his creative team appear to have returned. I, for one, welcome them.
