I dunno, it wasn't a conscious genocide, as in "let's kill all the southeast asians", so its a little hyperbolic. Still, 4 million of them dead. Carpet bombings of villages, agent orange - clearly there was a callousness there and an undervaluing of their lives. Also: the 4 million figure includes those killed from all causes, whether that's asian versus asian or american versus asian.

I'm not sure what you mean by pseudo History. Is it events made up altogether or is it events which have become distorted by the lens of time? Anyway, my suggestion to anyone interested in "straightening out" history, in this case American history, is to obtain the 8 volume series A People's History of the United States, by Page Smith. Apparently Professor Smith set out to write a textbook of ...

I don't know if you'd qualify Lovecraft as a 'classic' but, for me, he is really undeserving of his stellar reputation. I find his writing to be quite terrible, both pedantic and yet, clumsy, like he tried to use and reuse the few very pedantic words he knew without actually really understanding their meaning. His stories are a bit better and certainly, they were innovating for the time... For ...

Interesting question. I don't have anything concrete to add but it might be worthwhile to consider the wider context from which they arose. What were the socialists, communists, catholic parties, and other parties on the right-wing doing in terms of their iconography? Perhaps part of the reason the Nazi esthetic developed as it did was due to competitive pressure from nearly-as-...
