Front wheel hub problem
Published (2009-12-03 00:41:00)
The front wheel transaxle on my '91 Trooper II is held in the hub by a snap ring (you'd think something a bit more substantial but yep it's a snap ring). Ok, I have a head gasket issue so I'm trying to pull the head. The headbolts are allen head (what a wonderful suprise). It's my understanding that they are torqued to about 70 footpounds. Given that, I am unable to break them loose. I've had a half inch breaker bar on it, an impact wrench and no luck...suggestions (other than fire or a cutting torch........
