From my experience the accuracy of the PSL is far better than the SVD. The reasons I can only speculate. There are fewer moving parts in the PSL. The one I own is of recent manufacture Extremely well fitted internally. The trigger is very smooth end breaks clean at about 3 lb. I checked its accuracy with a commercial mount holding a 24X target scope. Off a bench at 100 meters I consistantly got groups ranging from 3/4 to 1". Ammo was...

It's interesting to see our modern military still using such an old trick in conjunction with state of the art weapons systems. I...

I too recall that comment from Isayeret, and believe that that comment is a product of the Israeli penchant for hyperbole wrapped around a kernel of truth. I do not know this for a fact but would bet good money that the basis for that comment is the botched Maalot raid of 1974, where a SF sniper failed to take out one of the terrorists.
The IDF did establish a dedicated Sniper school, and ...

Sometimes these left wing groups, dont only, feel "insulted" for the Palestinians, they also feel "insulted" that the IDF destroys terror groups, but in fact what these groups like MachsomWatch, are being "offended & insulted" by is seeing Israelis defending Israelis, thats close to treason as far as I am concerned, and If they dont enjoy living in the safety the IDF sacrifices, to give for ...

In my country, the Tavor is being sold for equivalent of US$9500. As a gun

This, however, does not appear to be preventing insubordination, and behind closed doors, IDF officers are increasingly concerned that there may be massive wave of refusals in the event of larger evacuations in the West Bank, possibly under a peace deal with the Palestinians. Aside from prosecuting the insubordinate soldiers and issuing a condemnation, the IDF's hands are tied. What could make a ...

Over the past decade, a small compound of single-story buildings at the IDF base in Tel Hashomer has become a Mecca for munitions and explosives experts from the world over. These buildings host the materials laboratory for the experiments and quality assurance units at the technological division of the ground forces.
The lab is considered to be one of the world's top centers in the field of ...
