12/2/08 ez barbell curls-90-5, 100-5, 110-3, 120-3, 130-2, 140-1 cable curls-30-10, 40-10, 50-10 tate presses-40-5, 50-5, 60-5 tricep pressdowns-30-20, 40-20, 50-20 abs Didn't feel that strong on the curls this mornings. Triceps felt good after tate presses.

Bw: 254.2lbs Today was shoulders/legs:deep squats 265lbs for one set of five that was to heavy for what I wanted to do. So my next set was 205lbs for one set of eight and I did the same with 225lbs. After that i worked out my shoulders with some C&P . I did 115lbs for five sets of eight with one min rest in between each set. Next I did three sets of ten with 60lbs on seated DBP. Last exercise for shoulders was BB shrugs I did...

Okay kids. tomorrow i leave for my 1st comp. Events Braemar Stone... if 16lbs i should be in the high 20's. if it's a 22lb stone... maybe throw it 5'. we'll have to wait and see. Heavy WFD... throwing 56lbs for distance... will prolly clip my knee while spinning and fall down prior to release. I live and train in the shetland islands which is part of scotland. i train and compete in strongman where i finished 5th in the scottish nationals this year but sadly i have injured my back whilst doing so!! i damaged muscles in the lower back area L4 & L% where my chiro thinks i may have a herniated disc. but cant confirm this until i can get a mri which will take an age on the NHS. ...

Been 3 years since I posted here. Herniated two disks in my upper spine and was out for a few years. After a long recovery Im nearly back to old form, and stronger in some areas.
