Eric..You are young. It takes TIME to learn how to squat properly. What you are doing now with the plates is only teacing your body to do it the wrong way. NOTHING is this game is done quickly...you will learn that if you stick with it. __________________ Board Rep ** These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA, do not constitute medical advice, and are not official or authorized comments by LG Sciences, LLC.** Training Journal:...

It's not just the young people, it's almost all trainers. And most people have no clue what to do workout wise, so by a trainer simply telling someone to do certain exercises that work certain muscles I guess that makes them qualified, which basically anyone could do. I guess the problem is people just view it simply as a job. They don't view it as something they are passionate about, or stop and think, "Do I know what...

can a lack of quad dominant exercises lead to a problem? Can a lack of quad dominant exercises like front squats, step ups mioxed with the overuse of heavy posterior chain exercises lead to problems? __________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/ThaRiflekid

Nate Dawg is strong as hell, big as hell, and always evolving his training methods not only from his experience and observations but from others as well.

Sounds like you can probably handle it if you're still lean. Those numbers aren't crazy high on either end of the spectrum. If you do feel fat is coming on a bit too fast, separate a little better.

Maybe you can take a video and have people to look at your form. Also one thing I have to remember is to not overthink my lifts. Going to the 10-12 rep range is not going to help you get a lot stronger. One thing that helped me was doing a close grip on all my chest exercises. I did this for several months.

I definitely would NEVER go low on the protein. IMO the more "efficient" your body gets are oxidizing the protein, the better you will assimilate it, which will have more benefit. Do you every see ANYONE with serious strength or mass "Protein Cycle".....no.

I guess I'm in the minority on this. I was blessed (or cursed depneding on who you talk to) with large calves and quads. I love working my calves regardless of their size. I like to use really heavy weight doing presses or raises (Usually in the 500-600 pound range) doing 3x10
This helped a lot when I was younger to develop expolsive power and vertical when I was playing football. I ...

Right now I'm doing crew which is even more intense practice wise than your rugby schedule. It impacts your gym performance but you can still make gains.
However, in my opinion your not eating anywhere near enough!

I work in mental health. And I lift. I have been doing a lot of research/learning on diet/supplement end for mood enhancement and bodybuilding. Over the last 8 months I have taken and studied over 50 different supplements. I have learned that TARGETED nutrition + supplementation CANNOT be understated to improve mental health. And ALL the time physical health = mental health.
