Oh for goodness sakes! There is no comparison! McCain is not a racist and you are taking his comments out of context! A long time ago, in an isolated incident he used a term about his captors that any Viet Nam Vet would use. He was not talking about the race of people in general.

palin is from a small town environment. so everyone knows everyone else's business. to think that anyone can run for office without detractors is folly. actually, only about 14% of her state don't approve of her, and only a small part of them are vocal dissenters. But i guess the enquirer plays to their normal demographic... the disaffected cretinous lowlifes who don't even have enough...

he was cleared of that. sort of like bill didn't get removed from office when impeached, i guess. obama's conflict of interest with his pork money to michelle's employer is not out of the woods yet, so perhaps being less smug might be a good plan.

yeah... she actually RAN a community, he just worked a small particle of one. That was her point, but it didn't come off that way to people looking for something to attack. His publicly-funded education was a good one. She leaned heavier to the pull one's self-up-as-money-allowed plan. maybe we should make all the valedictorians into senators? To think that having a good run in ...

I am a "community organizer" and I don't get paid - I was insulted by Sarah Palin's petty comment. It was ill thought out and I expect we won't hear this put down of "community organizers" again - it backfired for the GOP and raised $10million for the Obama/Biden ticket. There must be better ways for a person who attended 5 colleges in 6yrs to attack a law school grad, president of his ...

well, you had me until the community organizer thing. obama was NOT a volunteer. he was paid. and the group that paid him was as much politically oriented as it was to public service, although public service WAS part of it. and mccain can do it by example, he puts public service ahead of himself. obama tries to do it with words, but a year and a half of organizing some church ladies ...

I agree, compulsory public service - much like the work of volunteers we see in every community, the "community organizers" we heard so much about this week, who demonstrate people are to work for the betterment of all when they believe in the cause. What is missing is a LEADER who can motivate this country and encourage us to put our patriotism into action - not just with magnetic ribbons...

The lie about Palin faking being pregnant exposed. Just heard a reporter on CNN say they spoke to the doctor who actually delivered the baby from her womb. So shame on all those who spread such lies. Another attack against women. I guess they will now have to say that she paid off the doctor to say this like John Edwards people had to pay people off. What a joke.

so much for his speech on how bad the economy is going US GDP rebounds with 3.3% growth A US shopper Tax rebates have encouraged consumers to spend more The US economy grew at a revised 3.3% annually in the second quarter of 2008, the Commerce Department said, much higher than its first estimate of 1.9%. The rebound was linked to strong US exports, helped by the weak ...

that's what was a real disappointment, the same standard rhetoric. That's why I feel the DNC was involved too much, should have let him do his thing more

yes, the staging made him appear small, I think it was overly grandiose, and really didn't suit the appearance he's built to date. This was more fitting for Prince, or an Elvis impersonator, not a "common man"
