Thanks for the input and welcome to the board NotBoston. I was impressed when I first started reading about Ornstein, the fact that he's in charge has helped to maintain my interest in MESA.

The action on Mesa suggests liquidation not bankruptcy. The traders here fear liquidation. However, liquidation isn't imminent by any means considering Ornstein or I should say Ornstein's colourful background. Mesa was in critical shape or in life support status in 1998 losing over one million dollars a week with only 8 million dollars in cash when Ornstein turned around and delivered 27 consecutive profitable quarters, something...

"rebounded back to $10 a share" Waw. They need to make money first. The book valuation is meaningless when a company has to much debt in relation to its assets. If the total share holder equity is 1% to total assets even if it represents .60 cent a share it could be wipe out in a few months. What positive impact will the interest cost savings in payments from converting the Bonds in to shares will have in relation to future earnings....

whatever happened to those monster "buys" back when it was .30? That had to have been sells showing up in the buy column. I don't think individuals or institutions would have been buying this in light of the risk.

I don't think so! that's not a pinksheet company! MESA is extremely undervalued! imo
