indeed. we've been seeing quite a lot of volume for this typically sleepy holiday trading. imo that bodes well for next week, and all the way through to the new year.

I understand but until investors are more confident, the J's aren't going to $10 or 20. That would put the P's at $400 or $800. You're pumping here at this point in time imo.

this should be good for the balance sheet November 10, 2009 http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/business/realestate/blog/2009/11/baltimorearea_home_sales_up_36.html Baltimore-area home sales up 36% You could see it coming as the number of new contracts mounted this summer, but I still said "woah!" when I saw the number of home sales that went to settlement in the Baltimore metro area last month: 2,219, up 36 percent from a year...

A Classic Example of what is going on inside the restructuring of the "illiquid assets". LBSF and LB 1 own the equity in a Brazillian Securities Co. The two entities own a loan to the Brazillian Co. that can pay interest to LBSF and LB1. However, if that interest is paid there will be a tax on the interest paid to a non-Brazillian entity. So LBSF and LB1 are asking court permission to forgive the interest due so the tax does...

I'm not concerned with the tiny ones. I'm concerned with the 10's of thousands of shares that continually get sold at my bid without mine filling. The "tiny" ones are usually sold below my bids. Until bidders get more aggressive, nothings moving up. MM's are still shadowing.

Yes I already said that. Why would I be concerned about not getting fills on larger bidwhacks? Because I don't appreciate anyone playing the spread to my disadvantage. MM's or otherwise. And anyone with a few 100 thousand shares from subpenny could play the spread with the current volume possibly, so as not to have "dead" money potentially. I'm suggesting the spread IS the problem especially with...

Joyce, everyone has a trading style that works for them. I really do not understand the intent of carrying on an "off-topic" discussion of trading styles.
