But thanks for thinking that I might!!! The information came from an article I read. I was aware that Dell was reporting yesterday, and I do know ...

Recs: 0 Re: Economy Weaker Than GDP Suggests...Now DELL reports IT spending is a very good indicator that economies are entering a recession because IT spending always slows down when companies are trying to cut cost because of revenue declines. It's something that can be postponed. It's interesting that you were able to deduce the extent of IT spending slow down ...

Recs: 0 Re: '10 out of 10 terrorists agree anyone but Bush' - moonshije <<f Putin can invade with Bush/Cheney in the office, can he basically not do anything he wants knowing how weak this country is morally, economically and, may I dare say, militarily.>> I agree with this statement 100%. Too bad you don't use the same moral template to judge the democrats too....

Recs: 0 Re: OT: Anything but McCheney (Ron Paul) - Simonpure i am less concerned with taxes and increasing the minimum wage by government fiat than i am with the nature of domestic investment, be it for or not for profit. we as a nation always have almost unlimites sums of government funding for military expenses, though the pentagon is the most wasteful agency of the...

Recs: 0 Harold Simmons is making national news... ...as he's being reported as the money person behind some new ad which paints Obama in a bad light. I was going thru the channels and Bill O'Reilly was talking about it. Guess the Obama campaign has filed some sort of injunction with the DOJ.

Recs: 0 Re: '10 out of 10 terrorists agree anyone but Bush' - Raybans You're right, Raybans. Let's elect McCheney and start another war with Russia! Oh, while we're there might as well invade Iran!! And...lets fund them all with big tax cuts by making Bus tax cuts permanent !!! Haven't you guys done this before - '10 out of 10 terrorists agree anyone but Bush'?...

Recs: 3 Re: I came across this link (ATI) (off topic) Hmm. I totally oppose exploitation of offshore and Alaskan reserves, at least at the present time. I think we should hold onto those in case of a real emergency. Not an "Oh my God, oil is over $100!" emergency, which is not an emergency at all, but a real international crisis. I am completely opposed to the McCain/...

Recs: 1 Re: I came across this link (ATI) (off topic) I'll write in Ron Paul. Both of the others stink. I won't have two bad candidates shoved my way then agree to chose one or the other. Partisan politics has become a two-headed monster. thread start

Recs: 2 Re: OT: The O plan. Fuzz Ongoing inflation has been here and will continue for some time. IMO the other shoe that is yet to drop will be the depression that also appears to be coming our way. The past 8 years have been the frosting on the cake. Obama and/or McCain will be powerless to do anything about it. The cupboard is bare and it is time to pay the piper. We ...

Recs: 0 Re: OT: The O plan When Ike put in the interstate highway system, an essential part of the plan was to have the flexibility to move up repair and expansion projects as an economic stimulus plan during hard financial times. Last winter, one of the senators tried to get the "experts" to recognize road resurfacing as a reasonable option. The idea was turned down as ...

Recs: 0 OT: The O plan Maybe this weekend I'll pick the Junior Senator's O plan apart, but, while half paying attention, the following brought a smirk to my face: Jumpstart the Economy Provide Additional Tax Rebates to American Workers: The economy has continued to weaken significantly, despite congressional action to provide immediate tax ...

Recs: 1 Re: OT: Anything but McCheney (Ron Paul) What exactly is Obama promising to do if he gets elected? Whatever he's told to do. Same goes for McCain. Obama's a manufactured product and McCain is now a puppet. If it's change you want, prepare to be disappointed either way. I got involved on the precinct level this time around. I'd recommend this for anyone ...

Recs: 0 Good news for Obama supporters Actually, that was sarcasm. It's bad news. Recent poles indicate that 27% of the people who voted for Clinton plan to vote for McCain. Add that to the die hard Republicans who will vote Republican come hell or high water and you have an impossible situation for Obama. Didn't I say it would work? All we had to do ...

Recs: 0 Re: OT: Anything but McCheney (Ron Paul) I'm a big fan of Ron Paul too (and never voted Democratic) but while his ideas about foreign policy are really great, he kinda sux on just about everything else. Without a doubt the guy is very smart (a big historian who appeared to have done some reading) but Barack Obama is the only real thing - a blend of smartness, ...
