Hi Matt, IAF is, imho, another good holding which also got a little ahead of itself wrt NAV discount.  That was to the benefit of shareholders, however.   Lots of similarity between IAE and IAF.   I believe there is still opportunity in the AustralAsian markets compared to US and Europe.   Best wishes msg 17325

The only reason I have suffered with the old IBM PC model with Windows is that I have a good ability to know what I am doing when it comes to fixing or repairing a problem.   While I do have to visit my PC man every so often I can usually repair many problems myself and I am frankly just too old to begin to learn a new operating system.   Windows may change when operating systems change but overall the similarity remains...

XOT, you are so right. I buy all the time on Amazon. Last year I bought a big screen Sony LCD t.v from them. They had the best price, delivered it, set it up, and offered to remove the boxes it had been packed in. What more could you ask? I have bought twice in the last week or so there. Great shopping.       Ken msg 17406

<<Why? The strong relationship between China and the US and the fact that China pegs its currency to the dollar greatly reduces the impact a weaker dollar has on the cost of imported goods in the US. >> I disagree. The reason for no inflation is that US consumers of most things measured by guvvie numbers are tapped out. They cannot drive prices up. Has little to do with China or value of USD in other currencies....

Heheh. I'm a kernel programmer, not a user. I wouldn't recommend Unix to a end-user. For children putting together machines for their parents, Apple is the way to go if you can afford it. For normal users who don't have a good understanding of hardware, and can afford it, Apple has numerous advantages. But for someone like me it's just unnecessarily expensive eye-candy. For a power-user who knows the ins and outs of buying...

Hey, Orchid, no apology is necessary. Familiarity breeds comfort in some and contempt in others.   Personally, there is no way I leave my PC in a public place. Too much personal data on it. If fact, when I buy a new one, I vaporize the old hard drives. :-) msg 17394

TYN was down on the 18th, one day before the xd date.  This is usually not the case so I went looking for something that may have been a recent negative.  The only thing I saw that was out of pattern was that all the quarterly distributions have been paid between the 18th and 20th of the month, yet this time the distribution is payable on the 30th.    If the Feb 2010 distribution is pushed...

Gus, to be more specific w/o knowing the other funds to which you refer it is my belief that HQH is almost exclusively biotech and, therefore, much more volatile necessitating the discount vs steadier healthcare...if you learn otherwise, please advise. msg 17321
