That post on PWE was my 4000th post on the High Yield board. I have been using the new IV format a little bit lately and I happened to notice this. That is a lot of posts. The board just seems to be getting consistently incrementally bigger and bigger. I am not really sure how that happens as I don't discuss it in other locations. Not so long ago I would be the only poster for days and days. It is better that there are a lot more...

Year to year comparisons of 30 US retail chains, October sales, from AP. A mixed bag of winners and losers. I don't see any patterns here. IMHO, For a year with a major economic collapse, tightening credit and rising unemployment, sales look reasonably strong. ===================== October results at 30 major retailers http://finance.yahoo.com/news/October-results-at-30-major-apf-2446461649.html?x=0&.v=4 How October sales at 30 chains...

They could probably afford it, but will most likely concentrate on paying off some of the massive debt that Imvescor dumped on PDM unitholders. Don't forget that IRG was also weakened by the $30 million that Imvescor insiders bled off of PDM.   We have no idea if there will be any dividend at all. The whole business sucks. Management has proven they are not to be trusted. Bottom line; don't even think...

How to value O&G companies?...
Published (2009-11-01 21:34:00)
If I were to evaluate a biotech company (which I often do), I would get a share price by adding up the next ten years of discounted profit (including probability weighted guesses for drugs in the pipeline) add current cash, subtract current debt and divide by the number of fully diluted shares to get a valuation estimate. However, when I do a similar process for many O&G companies, they seem very overvalued given the amount of profit they...

" How many more quarters of declining backlog before you have to question the stability of earnings? "     They are making buses....some striving to be environmentally conscious.  Don't know what their competion is but they are selling busses to stateside towns.....from Canada....so there is something to be said for their product.     We're in a big recession so I'd expect...
