http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/11/08/antimatter-signature-spotted-in-earths-lightning/   I am trying not to find a large chuck of antimatter to hurl at Washington DC, so I am posting this instead. Anyway, some of you guys are science freaks like me and find this stuff interesting. msg ' + item.replyToNumber + '

We've seen this movie before. AMT 2. >The return of the inflation tax demonstrates once again the stealth radicalism that animates ObamaCare. In the case of inflation indexing, Democrats would repeal a 30-year bipartisan consensus that it is unfair to tax unreal gains in income, thus hitting millions of middle-class Americans over time with tax rates advertised as only hitting "the rich." Oh, and the House vote on this...

The caption in the 10-Q is misleading.  The following paragraph needs to be considered. Other equity securities includes an investment of $205,000, at cost, in shares of newly-issued 10% cumulative perpetual preferred stock of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (“GS”) and warrants to acquire up to approximately 1.78 million shares of GS common stock, at any time until they expire on October 1, 2013, at...

I remember shares used to be quoted in fractions instead of decimals.  Well the magic of the internet tells me why:  apparently Spanish people only have 8 fingers or something.     http://money.howstuffworks.com/personal-finance/financial-planning/stock-market-use-fractions.htm   These early stockbrokers looked to Europe for a model to build their system on and decided to base it on the...

You can thank Barney "Rubble" Frank for that. He wants the banks to loan unsecured money to people who will not pay it back. He keeps trying to push up the date in order for people to load up their credit cards for Christmas and then declare bk in January. Banks should cut back balances to nil in order to reduce risk especially those that have multiple cards. msg 149000

Do you have anything on the size of the F deal with the co?  Azure said 750-1000 vehicles. Pretty big for them, they convert around 250 vehicles per year but a bus is probably worth 3-4 Transits. You would think F had done their homework on selecting the co. they would tie in with for this technology Azure does good conversions. They tend to lose money on them, but generate lots of favorable press which helps support secondary stock...

I also think GM would have been nuts to sell Opel, probably is their only source of design and engineering that has a chance to sell. I think they should just sell Opel cars as Opel here, so that people won't think that they are just GM junk   I beg to differ.. Malibu is very nice (and their resale value is only slightly lower than Accord and Camry.. so they are doing well in the perceived reliability area). And so is CTS and...
