You are right in that the promise of RNAi Therapeutics is also to reduce pre-clinical development timelines. I would say 2 years to filing of an IND is damn short considering that IND-enabling studies should last somewhere in the ballpark of 6-12 months alone. Yes, and how long did it take for ISIS/BMS to initiate phase I studies with PCSK9? Maybe it took ISIS 1 year and 4-5 scientist to sell PCSK9 to BMS, but last time I checked on the ISIS...

They may still disclose it. We often see a PR before the regulatory filing comes out.  If this milestone payment is just $250K as you suggest, this really is a non-event. Would expect the payment to be in the few millions at best. This is typical as you don't want new participants to force old and hopefully cheaper deal costs in your face as you negoitate new deals.
