Bring it on. This company has been an underperformer for too long. Not being derogatory to management but despite their best efforts this is a failure from any angle. If I liked ALNY at 25 I absolutely love it at 16. There is no one legit reason to be pessimistic. Buy and forget for couple of years, this stock will pay for my kid's college and his kid's  college too. Sad thing is though, at these prices most of the shorts will be able to cover if/when the good news hits and still have a profit or at least not a big loss. The longer we stay at these levels, the more willing sellers there will be when news drives the stock up $10 per share or so. Unless the share prices jumps to $30+ overnight, they will make out OK. msg 22789

I was hoping that the shorts would drive it to 15. As that poster suggested, the risk/reward for buyers improves with every step down. Sure, I already have more shares than I need, but since I'm not selling at 15, 16, 17, 18, etc. every move down is an opportunity to get an even better reward for reduced risk. msg 22787

I think the short situation is multi-faceted and quite frankly I'm not sure what is to really be gleaned by burrowing too deep down that rabbit hole.   There are the retail shorts who do ride the momentum for mostly short term trades. There are also longer term shorts who may either be content to sit on a stock for a while and not move off until a marked reversal happens or are employing some sort of hedging strategy that...
