I *totally* had that. Hated it. I used to tell
my urologist I felt like I had this constant awareness of my bladder. Very annoying.

Did they do a culture to be sure you're on the most effective
antibiotic?
Sending gentle hugs,

I almost always get what would be described as post uti flares. It takes a while for my bladder to calm down after an infection. I hope your bladder calms down soon.

You have been through the mill.I sure hope the meds kick in and give you relief. I have only had one UTI since my diagnosis of IC and I thought it was a flare.I made an appointment for an emergency bladder instill but when they checked my Urine it was a massive infection. I was put on Macrobid 100 mg
everynight at bedtime and also had Septra for 10 days. I haven't had another UTI since then.

The more I feel this sensation (it's happened twice before in the past few months) does it sound like I pass stones?? Sometimes I get that back pain and abdominal stabbing but it's so hard to tell if that's actual
kidney pain or IC? Idk..

I also wanted to say, when I am having an especially
bad time, ANY pressure on my lower pelvic area is excruciating, like, even having my three year old sit in my lap is agony. I can press on my bladder area with my finger and make the feeling of pain go ten times higher.

Ever since I got IC my stream is slow and inconsistent and I tend to dribble after I think I am finished. I have this whether I'm flaring or not. If it bothers you ask your urologist.

Hi Anne,
I just thought I would let you know that
doxycycline flares me horribly!! I have tried it a few times and all with the same result--the worst flare ever! Levaquin is the one antibiotic I can take and know it won't flare me and actually helps the IC. Godd luck! Ginny
