All, My organization recently decided that we need to disable all wireless NICs across the board in order to avoid security issues. I've put together a script that finds all wireless connections, and calls on the Win32_NetworkAdapter Enable/Disable methods to disable them. I've currently got the script working on disabling any wired NIC that I want to target, but not the ...

I recently created a persistent profile using the administrative tools. I have now decided it does not accomplish what I had hoped and I would like to remove it so that it is no longer available and no longer appears in the list of profiles that a user sees. How do I accomplish this? Environment: Windows XP Pro laptop with a PRO/Wireless 3945ABG and PROSet/Wireless 10.1.0.6. [I am ...

Hello, I'm a graduate student doing some testing on an Atom board (specifically the D945GCLF & Atom230). I was wondering if there was any documentation about the performance counters present in the Atom and how to read them. It seems to be unsupported by VTune and Oprofile at this point in time. Thanks.

Hi all, I don't know where I can report IXP4XX Intel Access Library 3.0 (IAL3.0) bugs, so I post them here hoping to get some support. Here goes... ATM access library Tx queue low/empty stuck interrupt. OS: Linux Processor: IXP435 description: With ethernet driver and ATM driver both loaded, the ATM Tx queue low/empty interrupt triggers continuously after the first ATM cell is ...

Hi, we are developing an embedded OS, which runs successfully on intel multiprocessor and hyperthreading cpus. The problem with the Atom Cpu/Board is that the MPS Configuration Table reports only 1 Processor instead of 2, which stops the operating system from using hyper threading. Hyperthreading is enabled in BIOS. Firmware was updated yesterday to the current from the Intel ...

We are doing some prototype mobile stuff with the new Atom board, D945GCLF, using fairly recent versions of Linux. Most of the kernels we try to use (from 2.6.20 through 2.6.25) either crash the system on boot (modprobe errors related to the realtek Ethernet port) or else successfully start the system, but only operate the Ethernet port point sporadically -- most of the ...

These are questions received about the Intel(R) Software Network article Wi-Fi* Simple Config (WSC) Linux* Reference Implementation , along with responses supplied by our Intel engineering contacts: Q. How close is the WSC Linux* Reference Implementation code base to the current Wi-Fi Simple Config specification? Also, I see you have a Common directory as...
