Another thing you can do with aerosol cans is attach a schrader valve and use then for compressed air (like computer dusters, but without the nasty brain damaging gases)

Electric Car Vs. Gasoline Car I have done the math and have proven that electric cars are cheaper than gasoline cars (in the long run). So here it is. Assuming you have two cars. One gasoline and the other is electric. -Your gasoline gets 500 km per a full tank of gas. One full tank costs you $100. -Thusly you pay $1 per 5 km. Or: - $100/500 km = $1/5 km -You bought a ...

Alright so here is what I am looking for. I need a small generator that could fit inside of a box-fan. I've seen things about stepper motors and all but I need the absolute most simple generator you can come up with. I'm no electrician and I don't own a soldering iron, can anyone help?

. The solar air heater is a great idea. It can be made even simpler by turning it "sideways" (long dimension vertical) and using convection, instead of a fan, to move the air. Rob's Thermosyphon Solar House Heater is a good example of what I mean.

It has always bothered me when I disposed of spent alkaline batteries ( having 3 children , can add up to a lot of batteries per year). And there are no local or state programs for recycling these types of batteries where I live. I recently found a company that recycles all types of batteries and electronic waste by mail @ a reasonable cost. They also offer a municipal program for your town. ...

As some of you may already know, I'm planning on building an electric car this summer. Its all planned out, but instead of using regular transformer based chargers I was wondering if someone could help me design a transistor based charger to reduce weight. Requirements 48 or 72 volts Needs to charge marine deep cycle batteries over night Needs to not have a transformer. Needs to be ...

What are the best batteries for an electric motorcycle, and for a car too. Or can someone explain how to read the batteries specs (like amps, watts, volts) for the best suited for your ev project?

Agree with the son, except for #9--Know of them , but I question the Excels at bit--frankly I think the majority of them are in it for the $$$$$ not the environment---Try minimizing the use of "PRODUCT" and we'll all do better. (i.e. do you really need laudry softeners? how about good old baking soda for cleaning? how about keeping the car another couple of years instead of trading it in for...
