It doesn't matters how difficult the key combination for delete function is, if you want to permanently delete something important - you will do it anyway and even 10 dialogue boxes of "are you sure?" and "are you really sure?" won't stop you from doing it. Apple's Human Interface Guidelines are a massive bag of fail, i bet they have a great scientific explanation why it's better to be...

A-ha. I have it too (use as home media-server and torrent box). I use 10.6.2 in 32-bit mode - work all, include sleep.

The ID for i7 are out anyway. So , it can be done generally , wait till 10.6.3 . Then i7/i5 users can change the CPUID to match of an i7/i5 !

@mitch_de, You may want to add a link, or explain people here what you've done to compile it on OS X Also. I have changed my link and now point people to this thread. I'll keep you posted about new updates. Edit: I meant to ask for a diff file, but apparently was in too much of a hurry. As usual.

Retail 10.5.8 here, using VoodooBattery. Actual iStat Pro version works well. Upgraded to this version, iStat no longer shows up with other widgets (invisible). Reinstalled original, works fine again.

I just did 10.6.2 via Sofware Update and my EeePC 1000HA is no longer booting in. Just to let you guys know: Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz GMA 950 2GB RAM Snow Leopard 10.6.1 Everything was running like a top until about an hour ago, when I deployed the update. It seemed to update fine, however it failed to boot back up after doing the update. Chameleon RC2 showed up, but no boot up ...

This kernel is for Snow Leopard 10.6.2. And test on P4 3.06! It can support 64bit kernel!

for anyone who need real IOPlatformUUID string i just created smoll app does this for you, using your IOMacAddress ( if present ) just copy PlatformUUID and paste ( you know where ) have a fun. ps: there is no "license" for this app means you are allowed to sell , re-package , distribute, claim that you wrote it - anything you like np_
