I'd advise spending time in both. Different Ashrams have different policies, teachings and so forth. It is probably a good idea to experiment a little, since you may find one is better suited for you. I can't remember the name of the last one I was at, but I didn't like the Swami and the whole thing felt under-supervised. Although I did like the way it was quite relaxed about not turning up to ...

had only 5 seats ,so no crowd. The course was conducted under personal
guidance and was really worth.

Sivananda is Satyananda's teacher but they have significant differences, that is why he founded a separate organization. He (actually Niranjananda is now the main teacher) is more exclusively focused on hatha yoga with more tantric (no, not that „tantra“ ) influences, while Sivananda is more of a mixture of different approaches, there is more bhakti (devotion) and so on ...

Hi,
My friend and I are looking for an Ashram in the south, either Kerala or Tamil Nadu, to stay for a month next year. We are both beginners in yoga, but are very serious in learning more about yoga, meditation and spirituality. We want somewhere that we would feel comfortable as two young Western females, ...

Help with yoga decision
Hi,
I'm trying to decide where to do a yoga course. I've done yoga a handful of times so really want to get stuck into it at one of the ashrams. I can get into Sivananda Yoga at Neyyar Dam in Trivandrum or into Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh. I would just really appreciate to hear from others which is ...

Hi, I wouldn't go anti- osho commune just because of some posts. Different places mean different things to different people so you're always going to get mixed reviews! I'd say spend a few days there first before you decide.
If that's not for you, then you could give other places a try such as:
-www.tapoban.com (if you're feeling ...

Hi.
I haven't come across on official website myself as I was looking into the one in Pondicherry when I was planning my India trip. If you look on pondicherry.com, it confirms that it will be held on the dates you mentioned.
I am now in India, arrived 3 weeks ago. I am going to the one in March. Let me know if you will be too.
Cheers
