I think this sentence is new to the Kathmandu website: "Application made for grant of Tourist Visa frequently i.e. within one month of expiry of the previous Tourist Visa required clearance from the Ministry also and Visa will be issued after receiving clearance only." But the rest of it has been there for a while. And even before the new language was added, it was known that it would take a week or so to get a new visa...

Get the photos done when you are in India.
Usually you will get around 10-12 photos around Rs70 to 100 in any digital studio within 10 mins.

If you keep it low-key and don't shout if from the rooftops it shouldn't be a problem I don't think. I'm sure many people do this.
You'd technically need an employment visa beyond that, but seriously, for some low-key volunteering it shouldn't come into play. (Or at least and did I say: I don't think so...)

They would have done talking to your neighbours and all.
Its not mandatory that you should go to police station. But its the process (Undocumented) which the police guys follow.
You can visit the station and they will ask you to get the photocopies of all the documents submitted for passport process.
You may also have to take reference letters from your two of your neighbours ...

Mod note
Umesh, this is an India travel site. You need to seek answers to your questions elsewhere.
Btw, your other identical post in another thread has been deleted, as multiple posts are not allowed.

No objection to what? Marrying an Indian?
Because as far as I know it's not illegal for a Philippina to marry an Indian.
Or are you worried that you won't get a visa to visit India, because why would you have to tell the embassy you were getting married unless you plan to stay there. In which case it might be better to get married first and then go for the residency.

Just apply and see what happens? (I'd otherwise say give the embassy a ring to ask them, but you may not want to specifically alert them to the fact. Can't say a minor and ancient thingie like this would strike me as much cause for concern, but then what do I know, and it will likely differ per country where you reside.)
Let's put it like this, if every time someone stomped a police officer ...

She is not eligible to work.
After marriage, you can get the visa converted from Tourist (T) to Entry (X).
Neither marriage nor X visa confers the right to employment in India. After some time she can apply for PIO card, under which she may work/study/etc.

The Ahmedabad Mirror (whatever that is) says September. The Times of India says October. I would trust TOI more- which clarifies as quoted below- besides being a national newspaper.
