AndrieK: Almost every car I have owned in the recent past has been converted to HID's. I used 55w on my first conversion because I wanted the benefit of added light. Here is what I can say from my experience: always go with 35w. 55w bulbs burn hotter, which can easily melt some housings, and they burn out much faster and are more expensive to replace. I occasionally go offroading and I will say that out there any additional light is a...

Are you going to be switching to Xenons while you're at it? Makes no sense spending money on aesthetics and not getting something useful out of it.

Hey fellow Touareg fans, So having followed the latest list of Touareg items that have poped up i was quick to snatch these gems up before they were gone (like the wheels, rotors, pads). I made my purchase through ECS last week and recived my items in the mail today. About 2pm i was greeted by the Ups man at me door with a box from ECS. I was at first happy, then i quickly became concerned. The box did not seem to be exactly straight. When I...

I like mine off because xenon lights are very easy to spot from a distance... they catch the eye. Anything I can do to reduce "catching the eye" of an officer is my thing.[/B]...

This has been discussed already. The air intake system for V8 is super efficient and having to install cold air intake inside the engine bay will actually do no good because it will suck in hot air and on top of that if you have air suspension you are risking damaging your air compressor because it takes air after it was filtered by passenger side airbox which essentially you are going to be ...

Although my Touareg headlight lenses are fairly new looking still, they are showing(only at night) signs of some minor surface scratching and very light pitting in some areas, but no yellowing as of yet. My battle plan is to restore them as close to 100% as I can, and then cover them with some 3M protective film, and wipe my hands clean of any headlight lens worries for a few more years.

I just don't get the whole smoked front or rear thing at all. I guess I am showing my age and want to be as visible as possible when braking. BTW I have an Offroad Grey and I think the stock T1 rears look good and the smoked look weird on this color.
