Batley Khan I also have another qustion. My Visa got refused a while back ago for my wife. My wife got the nikah namah translated to english and the incopetent man in pakistan made mistake with my date of birth. So if i translate the nikah nama my self on the computer and get it attested by a solicitor who is able to read urdu and confirm that the english copy is a true copy of the original but translated in english. Would that be accepted ?...

They r yanking ur chain, apply either via post at French Consulate if u live outside London (ie Southern England) or in person. Don't bother with spanish consulate unless you like to be abused and humiliated! Unless of course ur going to spain and spain only - then u have to - ur chosen consulate should either be the main destination or first port of entry. Just re-read, as u live in London it's a visit I'm afraid, never much...

No, they did not say that. Perhaps you misread what they said.
You can apply in the country you are lawfully resident in, which in the case of your wife and child, is the UK.
Apart from that, you are a British Citizen, an EEA national who is covered under article 5 of Directive 2004/38EC, and hence has a right to travel to any memberstate within the EU/EEA with your wife. You ...

So what were you hiding from your parents but want the ECO to know for your fiancee application.
As long as you give a valid reason, it would be acceptable if you make it known in the application/accompanying letter.

I can imagine if that happened with your phone bill or if you turned up to buy a car, and they say sorry we just decide thats the fee because rates change.
This process gets stranger and stranger. Glad we only do it once

Hi Nikky
As your spouse has been refused you basically have two options.
1. Reapply again and pay full fee. Make sure you send at least 6 months bank statements in original format as well as copy of Tennacy agreement. This way you will get a quick response and outcome.
2 Appeal against decision ( could take between 2 to 7 months ) and send above docs. Ask the matter be ...
