Sweet ride report. Great that you had such lovely weather to play in. Your first photo is incredible. Makes me feel like the earth is moving in it. All of the shots are just great. How do you ride that last thing? Aren't the bars a bit on the large side? Thanks for sharing!

Crashed my RS today

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, Mark. It does indeed, sound like a classic high-side, which commonly results in broken clavicles. I did exactly that while racing thirty plus years ago. At that time, surgery was a less common option, and mine didn't heal as well as yours will. So, at least you can be confident that you will heal well and be riding again soon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Today's Ride 11-11-06

My wonderful wife let me skip out of some family plans so I could take advantage of todays great weather (honest, I only hinted a little that it would be nice to ride today ). Oddly, I didn't feel in sync for the first 50 or 60 miles and I almost turned around to go home a handful of times. I keep pushing on and decided to keep the pace very mellow. Once up into Dutchess County everything seemed right again and with out even thinking...

OMG Karl, you are so incredibly good at bullshitting the cops and getting out of tickets - like the ticket you talked the cops out of giving us in Arkansas!
Sounds like a blast.
I'll make some notes about your preferred riding roads for the future.
I'd be lusting right beside Bruce over that bike.

The bike and I are both fine, thanks for asking. I even rode it home from the dealership when the repairs were done. That was after six weeks of physical therapy. I've put about 12,000 miles on it since the accident.
My first mistake was gunning it with cold tires while leaing over in the middle of turning. My second mistake was letting off on the throttle after losing traction. I should've ...

An enjoyable read.
Thanks for posting your links so that we armchair wanderers can get a taste of the vagabond life.

Neat old revived thread. Used to ride a lot solo, then with a few friends, then tried the group thing which quickly cured me and went down to one or 2 friends or solo. Doing more solo now since like others have said, I can do what I want, when I want, how fast I want. Have a weekend planned this one coming up alone. My daughter is taking the MSF course in a couple weeks and I know she and I ...

A beautiful day in Atlanta...I was over-dressed at first, although the clouds came in after 3 pm. I only did about 140 miles today, but it was fun...same last weekend, but a little farther!

Always great photos Tim and Susan!! Thanks.
Can you imagine living in that home right above the BBQ restaurant and having that smell 24/7?
Lovely little road to ride. How is it in the summer when the green is in full leaf and the deer are out to play? Looks tight enough that it would be hard to avoid a bambi when playing hard and fast.
