AFAIK it is illegal in this country to copy your own CD's for back-up purposes (it certainly used to be, anyway). I doubt it would be legal to copy music for which you have not paid, and which is licensed only to YouTube.

is there anyone here that is a legal eagal that would know about copying music from sites like youtube for ones own use.

YouTube is effectively classed as a streaming service and has many commercial agreements in place. Now if you were to download videos from a normal individual user then I doubt it would cause too many problems, but if you downloaded an official music video/track from the site that is owned by a publishing house then that would be illegal because it exists on YouTube through a prior copyright agreement that prohibits permanent downloading....

Have you tried using the telephone? I think there is very little in the way of consumer protection when it comes to webhosting providers, but you should always have a backup of your website and if it is a UK domain then it should be in your name via Nominet. In that situation I would leave and find a better home.

Not cheap but as in ISPs you get what you pay for www.flump.net I used them for years and always had fast response to support tickets.
