I've been without email via UK2.net since 6/11/09 and I've also been advised that mail to me is being bounced. Sent them a support 'ticket' yesterday but so far no reply. However, I got some email this morning, but only dated today. Seems they may have moved mail out of house as I'm seeing stuff like Received: from smtpin01.hostedemail.com (smtpin01.a.tucows.com [10.5.16.1]) in the headers and no mention of UK2.net....

I don't know whether you are aware of this but UK2, a pretty large ISP has had serious problems lately with the failure to provide email for over three weeks. I spoke to a sales operator there today who told me that their support desk was in meltdown. My interest is that the school where I work has suffered such failure which has rendered the business side of the school paralysed and UK2 have not had the ability to rectify the problem....

We also hot our website and email with UK2.net. We've been without POP email now for 10 days! Service Desk Support do not even bother to reply to requests, and in fact deleted a ticket without bothering to reply. We use Exchange Server to pop email and distribute to email accounts. Our business processes depend upon this email reaching the intended recipient via Outlook, and not via WebMail because we automatically process emails...

We have been customers of Uk2 for over 5 years .They host several of out web sites all as been well untill they decided about 3 months ago to charge us £1 for every enmail address that we used through them. This was even though we had paid in our web hosting charge for up to 50 free email address. The exscuse was it wasto stop SPAM. what a load of SPAM. Since then out email has not worked to our pop account. It fails and times out. They will...

ISPreview covers Internet Access Providers, so you won't find much about web hosts here. Our sister site has a few more details but it never really took off like this one: http://www.host-review.co.uk I would suggest moving host and if you need any help with that then let us know, there are a lot of experienced people on here.

[Unfortunately AOL UK chose to ignore this email… and a second… and two attempts to contact them via their Online Help Area. Consequently I had no option but to contact them via their premium rate phone line. This is AOL UK’s Cunning Ploy No. 2. Totally ignore all attempts by customers to make contact in writing to resolve problems of AOL UK’s making, force them to use premium rate numbers ...

PlusNet/Madasafish are both part of BT so if you continue to have problems then you can at least get the phone service resolved by having a moan to BT directly about it, I hope. Best thing you can do in the short term is to keep pestering them, don't be rude, just keep the pressure on. If problems continue then take a look at our complaints section: http://www.ispreview.co.uk/new/complain...

Firstly, welcome to the "wonderful" world of Mobile Broadband. What you have experienced with speed is actually quite normal and we've covered this a lot on ISPreview over the past two years, check out our own experiences with Vodafone: http://www.ispreview.co.uk/articles/...ile_broadba nd/ Please also review their Mobile Broadband service here as we need more feedback: http://...

Can you borrow a friends modem or router to check it is not a fault with the freebie Thompson one?? I have had several friends who have ditched the Thompson routers due to various glitches. A decent router can be bought for under £40, depending on the need for "N" wireless.

First, is it true that they have undercharged you? If so.. you should probably ask them about some kind of payment plan (most companies will let you pay more per month over 1 year or so.. to cover the cost; rather than paying it all at once). Secondly.. try and ask them to back down a bit on what you owe, after all.. it is their mistake Tom - www.mouselike.org

You could try this freephone number, 0800 121 7015 but be prepared for a long wait. I'm still waiting for a phone bill after a year and nine months. Make sure you are being billed for the correct package , I think that is where my account went belly up and it still hasn't been sorted.

Here are some ideas to try: http://www.fruk.net/ http://www.metal-machine.de/readerror/ http://codebox.org.uk/controller?page=home http://www.hootech.com/NetMeter/ Don't know which is best but the one by Metal Machine (2nd link) is quite well tried and tested I think.

OMG, what a horror story. I would have recorded the calls to be honest if i had been in your position, sent an email also to confirm cancellation and to top it off also sent a letter dated on the day of your last trial date.
