I have known MBTI for 20 years. I can tell you, you don't change type. You don't become more J as you age. I had a job where I had to make decisions and have become very good at making them. But a J I am not. You can learn the skills of a J or an E or whatever...but it doesn't mean you prefer them. And these different qualities, like Si, Te...etc. manifest themselves differently...

In light of how much attention shadow, enigma and opposite function pairings get, I thought I'd throw this moldy bone out there. After many private conversations with the illustrious UDog (we puffed on pipes and wore satin smoking jackets whilst calling ourselves Righty-oh and Mr. Quite, Esquire), I began to wonder (aloud, and that's when the White Coats strode in - please forward my mail to ...

I find myself to be INTP, the unabomber. Which makes sense as I recently read his manifesto and found it an interesting read. Do you have any likely or suggested career paths for me?

I've tried dating some SJ's and find it impossible to converse with them for any length of time. Doesn't seem like we see anything the same way and J's aren't really interested in seeing things anyway but their own. Recently found an INFP and things, so far, are going much much better then with SJ types.
