I made a copy of it - still the same. I did see similar problems discussed elsewhere but noone came up with a reasonable explanation..

Wireless Keyboard Trouble

Have you played around with aligning the vertical orientation? Align the height of the usb dongle to where your keyboard/mouse are, if possible. I had a logitech mediaplay mouse that I could use in other rooms but only if turned sideways and pushed up against a wall...........

Ready to build modern HTPC
Published (2009-11-06 00:51:00)
Just finished building a second. This time, I used a smaller graphics card and chose a different CPU heatsink. The top lid fits on properly and the different video card HDMI placement resolves an issue with the particular case I use and HDMI at the very top (decorative metal gets in the way). But, I have left all case fans unplugged and things have been running great for several hours. I do feel the top...

Quote from: rpalmer68 on November 07, 2009, 11:32:30 pm Good plan.. I'm just not giving my 4 year old a laptop, I'd never get him off Skype! When I was a kid we just had a radio. I worked out that by placing a walkie talkie next to it you created an illegal radio transmitter. (Aged 6). (I received a cease and desist style message from the police).

It is possible that the CD has a defect and that particular drive is having trouble using it as a boot disc.

Hi Richard, I too was pondering this for some time but as they both have laptops I decided to just use those over another HW Device. Till the bugs with Library Server gets sorted out, I just put my main MC Library on a network share and have their copy of MC just use this library. Thanks Nathan

I went for one of the Shuttle Form Factor Barebones as they are quite, the same height as my Reciever (good for side by side but not very wide so no good for stacking), it's also black and does not have a lot of "bling". If I was doing it again, I'd get one sans Video (eg SX58H7), add a Fanless ATI 4550 HDMI card, Win7/Vista, a 2.5" Laptop Sata HDD, Sweet Spot CPU, 4GB of RAM, the MCE ...

I had that happen once too. After several tries and alot of wracking my brain it turned out the screen resolution had that " Press any key too boot from CD-Rom" was below the bottom edge of the screen where I could not see it. Changing screen resolution and/or moving the screen image upwards before the next reboot fixed the problem. Worth a shot, there's really not much else that could...

This is a very important thread. I have tried many if not all the solutions you listed. I don't think I will ever leave JRMC behind as my main source. With Rivermote I am pretty happy pushing music around the house, or using a laptop and library server at work or home with heapdhones. However, Sonos does have a wireless player/iPhone device that would be useful in the kitchen. Thanks ...

That's pretty much been public knowledge for what, 2-3 years now? One way to tell what CPUs Google uses is to pick out the high-performance stuff in Intels 'extended availability' lists.

From the top of my head. Made a full setup install with everything on one machine. Bought a Symantec Ghost Solution Suite (or whatever is called; check licensing). Installed the PCs everywhere and hooked them to the network; or sometimes just piled them somewhere where we brought a switch (or more) and hook 'em to the network. Made sure their primary boot option is the network. Setup a ...

Well.. This one seems to have collected quite some dust -and no responses (what's up with that..??!)- over the last months. Allow me to sorta 're-new' this topic: Can I e.g. get the SIRIUS Internet Radio 'channeled' into MC12..? - Ideas, anyone?? Thanks, Armin

Quote from: JimH on July 23, 2009, 07:00:22 am In MS or JR, the green button starts MC. In JRMC, it also starts Theater View and toggles between three views of Theater View (root, current, and playing now). It's incredibly useful for my wife. "If you're lost, dear, just hit the green button once or twice." This almost always works, and she now remembers it. Is the button on the...

im trying to convert an ac3 file to ape, and then import it (yeah, a live concert thing, but they left to much out on the cd). converted it to wav and then to ape, made a cue file, but i did not get it to work really... my brain is hurting now, and i want to do it my own way, that is just splitting the wav to seperated ape files, because that is something i understand. now the ...
