If Transformers was re-made

I don't mean like 'Superman Returns', which continued a decades old franchise with new actors playing the same role. I mean moving on from the story we have now, with different human characters, different scenarios, different lead actors etc. The story with Sam and Mikaela can be wrapped up soon, they can move on. (Unlike Superman and Lois, it's the robots that are most important here.) They can just continue the story with...

Falling asleep in the Theater
Published (2009-11-24 09:28:00)
The Action explosions and CGI got so repetitive near the end and the story was non-existence, I ended up getting so bored I ended up falling asleep. Who else fell asleep near the end? Or at least wanted to? ---- “Being slightly paranoid is like being slightly pregnant -- it tends to get worse.”

LARGE MISCONCEPTION!

So according to tfgeek's logic, he also really liked Harry Potter Of course! Didn't you know that the more money it makes, the better it must be? It has NOTHING to do with the fact that they plugged the hell out of it, nor does it matter that it's a sequel to a popular movie, NOR does it matter that it's based off one of the most successful franchises of all time! BTW, I am a fan of the Potter movies, and they dropped the...

I remember reading those scenes in the book but I don't remember them being in the Blu-ray, or at least the one I have.

q_leo_rahman , Those are some great answers. Thanks! A few comments though. I can totally by #1. Fight or flight, got it. No problem there. Just simply show me evidence of that. Show me a newly created Transformer being reigned in by an older one. Number 3 makes sense now too. It was about giving him a trait he didn't have, not that Jetfire's parts were anything all-powerful. As far as the AllSpark goes, I must have missed what...

On the contrare....I went to my local walmart around 11am this morning and they were already completely out of the 2-disc DVD and 2/3s of the BluRay were gone too. And that was by 11am. Not many of the 1-disc had gone though.
I also went to Best Buy around noon and I was there maybe 5-10 minutes and the entire time I was there it was a constant flow of people coming in and 95% of them went ...

Such anger from watching a movie. Maybe where you're at in the world they should give free counseling.
Seriously though, regardless of what people in the rest of the world think of Americans with all of our rights and freedoms, they love our money. If an American goes to Kenya everyone will love them because of their money. It's what makes this scene so believable; they're from New York and if...

Exactly! Just like Independence Day, I thought that movie was AWESOME, still do. But it seems that everyone else just doesn't like Summer Blockbusters.

Well, I liked The Rock, Bad Boys, and thought the first Transformes was okay, and this was aweful.

I think a lot of money was spent on the practical effects while filming on location in Egypt, Jordan and New Mexico. Bay tried to top himself with the use of explosions and the military in the desert locations.

You must live in a nice town?
Jazz was my favorite Transformer as a kid. In these movies, as far as looks, I think Long Haul takes the cake.

"What the hell did you expect?"
- We expected something better. The first one was decent, not perfect, but enjoyable. ROTF was a 2 1/2 hour long migraine.
"Everybody geeked out over this movie and slammed it when it came out but it's actually a pretty decent movie."
- Your opinion. And remember - that's ALL it is. Your opinion.

I'd just make it longer. I think the movie was great as is, but I'd like more. I'll just have to wait until number 3. I like the twins and I LOVED that scene with the pot brownies.
"Hey, Professor. I'd do anything for an A."
"My son lives in this dorm. Just recently had his cherry popped."
"I'm upside down."
Just about everything she said in that scene was hilarious!

the idea of a reboot is out of the question now, it's far too popular and too much of a financially successful film franchise, the only way to reboot it is if it's popularity and financial success decreases.

But yet at the end when Sam goes back to school, it's like nothing even happened and no one took the Fallen's threat seriously.
Wow, I never even thought about that part until now. *facepalm*
