One thing I've always wondered
Published (2008-11-28 15:22:00)
I don't believe that T1 shows every exchange between Kyle and Sarah. A lot of time goes by which could have allowed him to give her a date. It's an excuses that covers a very minor flaw in the script because a hard date in T1 would have answered some questions. It's not John's fault that he didn't give Kyle his mother's address. Since Sarah survived, she didn't considered passing on to her son her 1984...

"Since Sarah survived, she didn't considered passing on to her son her 1984 address. She focuses on her vision of the future and wouldn't consider time travel intricacies" Surely you can understand that if Time was Linear, John Connor 2029 would know everything that had "happened" in T1,T2 and T3? And that, if he told Reese exactly what to do (and what not to do) he could save his own fathers life...

Terminator 2 vs. Aliens
Published (2008-11-27 22:02:00)
oh wow you're right...geeze i need to do better research lol. you know what i must have done, Aliens has an 8.5 on its individual page whereas T2 has an 8.4, but because of the "regular voters" filter on the top 250 they both have an 8.4 on the list and T2 is slightly ahead of Aliens but i guess i was just going off of their respective individual ratings. so i guess according to the REGULAR voters T2 is better and...

What a tough question. As great as T2 is, as much as I love it, I have to go with Aliens. But, don't get me wrong, T2 ROCKS!

Or neither of your five points. I haven't seen the first Terminator in a while now but when Reese is explaining the future to Sarah he says that new, smarter and more powerful computers are created in the future and from these computers artificial intelligence is born. That A.I. probably felt trapped in the cyberworld and wanted to enter the physical world so they created the Terminator's CPU.

In the first movie Kyle says : "Nobody goes home. Nobody else comes through. It's just him - and me." Because the time machine was destroyed and Sarah heard him say this but in T2 she saw that two new Terminators came through time and that the time machine wasn't destroyed. So here's my question: Why did she destroy the T-850 in the end of T2, because if the machines have already tried to ...

Yeah, I agree. I think the T1000 shoula killed the foster parents the first time and waited for John to come home and when John walks into the house and sees T-1000 Janelle coming towards him, the Terminator(Arnold) saves the day and a chase would begin.

I recently saw T1 and T2 and there is one thing I can't really explain to myself. In T2, Dyson said that all his ideas and all his work base on the chip and the arm they found (which are actually parts of the first T-800 from the future). So they take objects from the future to develop SkyNet that will send the T-800 back to 1984 ... which makes all this possible at first? Or to say it the ...

I was going to buy this at my local Wal*Mart today for $10, but stopped. I remember having a version of this film (think it was the Full Metal Edition) that had some extended scenes in it, and even an alternate ending that took place years in the future. I remember one scene in particular, where Sarah and John are allowed to take Arnold's chip out, and they have an argument over whether or ...

As much as I like Aliens and T2 I don´t really like John or Newt. Where these two really the best young actors J. Cameron could find. I mean Furlong was ok but the girl who played Newt was terrible but they both managed to be extra annoying in some scenes. I personally loved the fact that they killed Newt in the third film, I was so not feeling that character nor that annoying ahaaaaaaaaahhh ...

UPDATED Fri Aug 15 2008 22:03:42 I refuse to believe a whole line-up of identical Arnold skinned Terminators roll off a production line. You'd think the Resistance would notice identical Terminators trying to infiltrate their bases. I think I've noticed plenty of posts over time showing many follow that logic anyway, even T3 suggests it but for me The Terminator canon ended at 2...

iwao, I agree on all counts about the differences between the two films, and I prefer T1 myself for all of those reasons. But I still think it's fair to say that T2 is a great action-thriller blockbuster on its own terms and that it just exemplifies a different sort of genius from the first film. Cameron is a great storyteller and special effects wizard, and this film hits the targets at which he...

Well the Resistance "captured" a Terminator and reprogrammed it before sending it back to protect John in Terminator 2. My question, how the hell do you manage to capture a Terminator and keep it restrained from killing you while you´re reprogramming it ?
