Yeah- I've seen every single episode to "Superman: The Animated Series" as I have the complete series on DVD. I also know that he managed to stop a hijacking on Air Force One in episode "World's Finest" by just tipping the plane over causing the terrorists to fall against the ceiling. That is what he would have done to have prevented the crashes in 9/11/01- but it would have been difficult to have...

Lois wasn't blonde. If you're refering to the actress's normal hair color, bear in mind that the late Christopher Reeve had to dye his hair from his regular blond to black to play Superman.

True, but with the changing times and many different ways the man of steel has been portrayed, how long till the next big Superman seems to be nothing but mundane? "We are traveling to the future. Just one second at a time."

Not my style. At least it's not Singer's gay fantasy of Superman (nothing wrong with it, unless you expect most people to PAY to watch it), that outfit was a BAD idea. I don't get it, he was wise enough to change the X-men gay funny outfits. Why didn't he do the same here? Think about it. A change in costume would have been bold, risky, yet facinating, like Batman's change of costume (he no longer wears his underwear...

Whoever DP'd the movie should have been fired, because throughout the entire movie felt like it was about to rain. Word! I kept thinking that maybe the real Earth had been destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass, and Superman returned to an alternate Earth with eternally abiding rain which had subsequently popped into existence. Why do people who don't care keep telling other people not to care?

I see what you are saying about Doomsday. I agree, now that I think about it like that. But still, wouldn't it be cool to see him? I mean, what he would look like in a live action movie. But I'd rather not have remakes.

his powers and abilities including level of indestructiveness vary depending on the version of the story. The most toned down version, even more so than the "post crisis" comic books was the late 1990s tv cartoon. In that version stopping ONE plane crash was all he could do and even then it totally exhausted him. That version of the character would get injured if he was trying to stop a plane and it crashed into a building,...

If I wanted to see SuperCrazyMan, I'd read Marvel's Sentry.

This is one concern I am starting to have. The guy who has been selected to play the Thor is actually a few months younger than me- and I still am considered a kid by most people although I have been old enough to drink beer for the past five years. A lot of people wish for the new Superman to be played by Henry Cavill. He looks alright to be the character- but he is actually two months younger ...

Well, if Superman was real, I probably wouldn't personally know him, so I don't imagine myself (or you, or anybody else) knowing enough to form an informed opinion (for all we'd know, the guy kicks puppies when nobody's looking).

If Routh and Bosworth had been cast in a teen drama on TV, I bet people would have complained they looked too old. I liked them both in this movie. I actually believed they cared about each other.

I read out the whole script of that last week and thought it would have been better than what we got with "Superman Returns"- but it probably would have been done in the same format as "Batman & Robin". I thought so anyway when I was reading where Superman was wearing a special suit formed from the Eradicator after he had come back to life (he had fallen to his death from the fight with Doomsday)...

He's pretty much spot on about Reeve's Clark and Bosworth, but I disagree about Routh, I think he made a great Clark. It was bad dialogue, especially any interaction with Lois.
I kind of like the way that Routh's Clark is genuinely shy and socially awkward as Clark but Superman is his comfort zone where he is in total control with complete confidence. Compare the way Clark acts around Lois in...

Routh looks his age in this. But he did look rather boyish to me too. I'm almost 25, so a year younger than Reeve was when he made "Superman" and I still look and feel like a kid when I compare myself to how he looks. He did look 33-34. But yeah, I can't take a boyish Superman seriously.

I'm liking your thoughts. Especially Morgan Edge and Intergang. I never thought about them being in a movie.
Darkseid and Doomsday are musts. They couldn't be in the same movie though. It would be too much. They are Superman's equal in strength. They would be the epic battle. As much as I love Smallville, I was really disappointed with how they ended the Doomsday story. It could have...

Marvel Studios had the nutz to do it!...why not for Superman, arguably the most popular superhero EVER?!?! I think its a shame Superman Returns didn't live up to box office & critic expectations & any chance of another Superman movie gets abandoned!
Taking a note from Incredible Hulk , we need Superman to have a modern FIGHT with a villian up to his caliber in STRENGTH!...he hasn't had one ...

Yeah, the photography was way too muddy and murkey. It works for somebody like say, a prototypically " dark" hero like Batman or Daredevil, put not a more bright (traditionally) and optimistic hero like Superman.
