Question with big spoilers
Published (2008-11-22 04:46:00)
The one thing that leads me to believe that Lenny may finally end his quest for revenge after killing Teddy is the picture that he takes of Teddy's dead body. When Lenny killed Jimmy, he burned the picture of Jimmy's body after becoming convinced that Jimmy was not the "John G" he was looking for. Actually, he burns the picture after he is convinced the quest is done and he chooses to continue with a false quest....

This film is Ridiculously Overrated
Published (2008-11-15 04:32:00)
This is my point. Rankings should be completely independent on the rating as it is an entirely different process. But it's not, so your nitpicking is useless. I still don't see how 8.6 is "ridiculously" higher than 8. Add 0.6 to any 8.0 rated movie on IMDb and you'll see what I mean.

Did anyone notice a frame......

Yea that is a great little add in for the film as a clue. I did not notice it the first time I watched it. I think either the second or third. It is strange...after knowing that it is going to be there, now when I watch that scene, it seems so blatant lol. Kind of the same with music. If I listen to a song where I cannotmake out the words and I look them up, the next time I hear the song now knowing the lyrics, it seems to sound more clear.

{ "What's this? The "WWF Memento"? } Actually it is, if u see some of the action sequences in this movie, only with better sound effects. The fact that the main lead is being played by one of the most respected actors in Bollywood, gives a hint that it may be a decent watch. The movie is set for release on Dec 25. Will update after watching the movie.

I did notice this the first time I watched the movie (which incidentally was on dvd and not in the theater), but I did not think too much of it at the time. Throughout the movie, it is clear that Lenny identifies with Sammy and uses his knowledge of Sammy's condition as a way of understanding his own problem. At the time, I thought it was just a way of Lenny indicating how he identified with Sammy's struggles. One thing I did NOT...

This isn't really a plot question or anything. I recently saw the movie for the second time and I believe I understand the chain of events reasonably well. My question is of a more philosophical nature. What now? At the end, or should I say the beginning of the film, Leonard kills Teddy, who, if we believe Teddy, has been his defacto guide on his false quest. Will Leonard finally get the I ...

Which shows Sammy in a hospital, and then someone passes near him and for about half a second you can see Leonard sitting there instead of Sammy. I don't remember exactly the minute of the frame, but you gotta pause it at the right time to see it. I noticed it somehow, which kinda ruined the twist a little bit for me.. but still, an amazing film.

I was watching a documentery on the History Channel about the brain and it had a segment on a man named clyde. He was a succesful composr until he suffered from a brain virus leaving him with the worst case of amnesia ever. He can't remember anything new for more then 30 seconds. This is a diffrent video but on the one I saw they showed how he would use a notebook and write stuff down. It's ...

He says in his review of this film: "The second time, I found that greater understanding helped on the plot level, but didn't enrich the viewing experience" http://tinyurl.com/5tqfrd That's a pretty hurtful thing to say in my opinion. I mean damn, at the end it's the experience that lingers with you long after a film, and he says there's hardly any. So my question is, does multiple-...

The only exceptional thing about this movie is the structure, everything else ranges from average-great. The acting from Pearce was great, everyone else...meh. The cinematography is nothing special, I can't even remember a score and the overall tone and atmosphere is bland and uninteresting after an intial view. This is a solid 8/10 movie. Nothing more.

According to Christopher Nolan there is only one explanation of the film. While SDCKPAR throws his view unto everyone here. He provides no evidence that anything he says is true. Teddy is a known liar, thus anything he says cannot be trusted. You would not trust a liar to tell you the truth. Notice SDCKPAR does not list the many times Teddy lied to Lenny. At the same time Teddy did ...
