It does seem like almost everyone these days smokes.
Smoking doesn't make one cool, thats a lame ass way to look at it. Its a persoanl choice, and a lot of the times the kids who I knew smoked (or smoke now) miss class or drop out or are just lazy. Not all of them, but a good bunch of them.

Hmm, well I'm not sure how to account for the possibility of people getting sick repeatedly.
If we were to assume that each person would only get sick ONCE, then you'd just multiply the population by 95% each year to get the number of healthy folks.
