My quick guess is the moment they try to go
outside the box (especially with the dramas) they don't get the high ratings compared to the rest of the shows. They did have Swingtown two summers ago, which wasn't great, but instead of someone dying every week, people were having affairs (or thinking about them). Maybe they don't worry much about the 18-49 age demo that seem to be the end-all-be-all ...
