I hold the blame more on the song publishers; the DVD company only has a certain amount of money to work with, and in the case of older shows, there's a much higher risk of the target audience not buying the DVDs at all.

Well, the font is about the same size as the text in these posts. I wouldn't really consider that "pretty small" especially when there isn't exactly a whole lot of other things nearby on the website that might have the effect of making it less noticable to some people. And if his eyesight were so bad that he has a difficult time finding these types of things then at least one might think that it would occur to him...

Came to post The 4400 like lazy suggested. It is a similar to Heroes but a better version. I would recommend Firefly but it was canceled after 1 season and watching it will only make you mad because Fox canceled it so soon. Show that you should check out that are currently on air is Fringe and Flash Forward.

I mostley agree about the "Stack of Money with the Googly Eyes" commercials...but I think the problem with that isn't that the concept isn't funny, it's that they are handling it really badly. I think they are focusing too much on the stack of money as some sort of character or icon, whereas the focus should probably be on the slogan instead. totally agree with you! That's why I don't watch TBS anymore. I watch their "sister" channel PeachTV which is a little bit better and it doesn't show all that other unfunny crap. Unfortunately during the summer it interrupts the great other shows with this crap they call the Atlanta Braves!

My quick guess is the moment they try to go outside the box (especially with the dramas) they don't get the high ratings compared to the rest of the shows. They did have Swingtown two summers ago, which wasn't great, but instead of someone dying every week, people were having affairs (or thinking about them). HBO's current lineup is good - but it is severely lacking in the drama the channel is famous for. These half-hour comedy/drama shows are in huge abundance at the moment - and they are developing heaps more. Most cable channels seem to be... Showtime is definitely not the new HBO though... AMC wins that one.
