I'd say through a double exposure. Instead of sending the film off to be processed after they got the shot they'd rewind it and then film the 'glow' over the other footage. Not all at once mind you but that's the gist of the process(more than likely they sent the film to their sfx department who would then refilm over the footage for them). Re-watching the two clips, I doubt they are not from actual movies, considering the rest of the clips are from actual movies. The castle clip must be from some old horror film, of where the castle would be influenced by appearance by the Belem Tower (can anyone think of any old horror movie, which features a castle that is supposed to be based on the Belem Tower?). need to know movie title of a movie filmed in the 1980's I think. plot is a teenage girl whos father dies and she starts seeing a boy who works at a bowling alley in the 50's. She becomes pregnant and her Mom tries to send her to a home for unwed mothers and the little girl who lives next door helps the boy find her and she leaves with him. Thanks for any help!
