You tried adding yourself to a TV series at the series level. That's generally not allowed any more. You should add the episode(s) you appear in, adding yourself to them in the process.

If you can get Joey to write something to say what you did then you can try with that. But I don't give much for your chances either Steve

I think gromit's usual logical and sound reasoning sums it nicely...based on a stage show (or production) and let genre handle the type, and let trivia handle the location...and keywords such as broadway-musical (or london-musical or broadway-drama,) et al be used as keywords reference plots or films that have a plot centered around a stage production of any kind. And there are many of those kind of plots...including about fifty...

Rejected submissions question
Published (2009-11-30 12:19:00)
Refer to the Processing Times page, imdb.com/czone/times . There's a link to it in the left column of the Contributor Zone. If your submission was more than a few days (once processed it may take a couple of days for an update to be reflected on the site) before the listed processed through date for the section to which it was submitted, and the correction or addition hasn't yet appeared on the site, then you can assume it was...

Thanks. I suspected something like this since many -- but not all -- of the rejected keywords usually included one of the genres with an addendum, i.e. british-history, animation-filmmaking, etc. I thought that perhaps this was part of a process to stop the acceptance of genres as keywords.

Looking back at my submission receipts, it appears what happened is this: The new episode #9.16 wasn't in the database yet, so I submitted it prior to its airing. Shortly afterward, it became apparent that another contributor had (for some unfathomable reason) simply changed the season numbers on episodes #8.16 and #8.18 to take the place of the corresponding season 9 episodes, as the May release dates were still attached and there were...

Could you elaborate a bit more on the "logic" that a superhero who masquerades as a "normal" person should be considered "two different characters" when played by one actor? Clark Kent and Superman should now be thought of as two entirely different people? Batman and Bruce Wayne? Don Diego de la Vega and Zorro? This defies any logical system that I am aware of, not to mention common...

Hey Jessica,
There is no reason to reject either one of these credits especially when you can watch an episode of Monk and see my name listed in the screen credits.
It's unlikely that IMDb's list managers will find the time to hunt up an episode of Monk to look for your credits. With the volume of credits they deal with on a daily basis, it's just not feasible.
Also, please feel free ...

Do you have an agent who manages the IMDb Resume that currently is linked to your profile page? If so, then that is the account that needs to be used to add photos. You cannot have two Resume accounts open for a single profile page.

Come to think of it, IMDb staffers never did respond either to complaints on this board about listings of kiddie-porn videos, ostensibly from Russia and Ukraine, wherein the given distributor had an easily-googled online website for selling this crap by mail order to buyers internationally. You will likely have to wait until the release of the movie to confirm whether or not he is actually listed in the on- screen credit scroll. It doesn't matter how many lines he has or what other websites list. The IMDb is only concerned about whether he receives an on-screen credit or not. Until you can confirm the on-screen credit, the (uncredited) attribute will likely remain (unless the ...

Tony,
sorry for this episode chaos.
As far as awards are concerned episodes should be basically attached to the main series until that one day we will have full episode support for awards, which is if I understand our programmers right not just complicated, but also time-consuming.
Some former stand-alone titles were mapped into episodes when episode support had been introduced. Please ...

If any films or television shows that you appear in are already listed in the database, go to the pages for those films or shows and update them by adding your name to the cast. (Note that contemporary actors need to have at least one credit where their name actually appears on screen in the credits before they can get an IMDb entry. If you have that, then both your credited and uncredited roles ...

Les,
I haven't seen the film in question, but I'd guess that the title, as displayed on-screen, was 'Doc' or "Doc".

"In Development" titles can only be updated through IMDbPro. I've submitted a status update which, when processed, should make it available through the regular IMDb.

Are these threads that have been there for quite some time? Or are they threads started just recently?
All boards get old threads deleted every so often. How often it happens depends on how much activity there is on the board. The more active it is, the more frequently old threads will get deleted

Do you have any other work listed on the IMDb? You must get an on- screen credit before you can be listed for anything. Once you have that on-screen credit then you can list other, uncredited work.
If you do have other work listed then you may have to prove that you did this work. Can you provide any documentation?

It's our practice to do that particularly when someone has died before release of the title. In any case, it's my understanding that there are also some interviews filmed specifically for this film.

Sorry, it won't happen. Birth dates are a matter of public record and won't be removed. This is especially true for self submitted information.

If it is a TV series and you attempt to update the release dates on the series level then it is indeed impossible to add new entries, but I believe the correct approach is to add the date to the first episode. I believe that will then propagate to the series level release information. And certainly it doesn't hurt to add release dates also for the subsequent episodes if they are known.
