It's a Wonderful Life (1946) I think this is one of the only teary film that makes you cry not with sadness, but with happiness. It is after George Bailey (James Stewart) has seen what his town and everyone in it would be like had he not existed. Then he wishes himself back, and he is overjoyed to be existent again, and you are just extatic with him running down the streets wishing everyone a "Merry Christmas". Then of...

I thought Stop-Loss was pretty average stuff, not really overly satisfying but it made for a decent one-off. I still do think, however, that Quantum of Solace really is one of the best films in the entire Bond series, and I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that way. Still, it'll definitely split the public opinion.

Hi Dark.
Yours:
The Wrestler: 8/10
L.A. Confidential: 8/10
Mine:
Into the Wild - I found the movie very interesting, a bit long, but very good. Great performances from all of the cast. Great movie. 9/10
Breach - Altough the movie is slow, it was very interesting. 7/10
Julie & Julia - Good movie, makes you hungry. But a bit long, and I found Meryl Streep's Julia sometimes ...

Twilight(2008) 5/10- not terrible, but not my cup of tea. The dialogue is clunky, the story takes a long time to get going, and some bits were untentionally funny. However, there is a decent soundtrack, splendid evergreen scenery and nice camerawork.

I agree with some of your choices like:
Equilibrium
Hero
LOTR
The Prestige
Dark City
Gattaca
Pirates of the Carribean (only the first one was any good :P)
The Return of the Jedi
The Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Sith
Gladiator
The Matrix
The Dark Knight
Most of the others are average to me
But Daredevil is just plain bad :S
Ill make a list later when I have more time.

Worst: I Never Promised you a Rose Garden (Hannah Green/Joanne Greenberg). Maybe Greenberg's rich and intelligent novel couldn't be fully realized on film, but the movie was just awful. It wasn't helped by Karen Quinlan's hairy armpits.
Best: Candy (the Luke Davies novel) the Heath Ledger/Abbie Cornish film is ALMOST as good as the novel. Both were first-rate.
