One thing that bothers me about the film is the obvious dubbing throughout the film. Maybe Crowe and
Pearce were letting their Aussie voices slip through while filming, but it's still distracting that much of their dialogue is looped.

I like that they've included the TV pilot on the 2-disc DVD set that just came out. It's really bad, filled with C-list or lower actors, bad writing, acting and everything else.
Keifer Sutherland is no Russell Crowe.

Anyone found any references to the accent that
James Cromwell used in this film?

Man, I hadn't even heard of it until a few weeks ago. I love Crowe and Spacey and Pierce has been good in the few films I have seen him in. This thing was awesome, I can't believe I never knew about this until recently. I love finding gems like that though. Man, I loved this movie! "Cool will get ya dead." -Former NBA

...is the Dark Knight rated higher on imdb then this masterpiece? At least L.A. Confidential is rated higher on
rottentomatoes. For once those critics got it right.

UPDATED Sun Apr 13 2008 17:50:24 My pick is when Bud goes to see Lynn to question her about
the Night Owl killings. Crowe and Basinger have incredible chemistry in that scene. Very well done.

... before you completely understood the plot and was able to link all the characters' names correctly??! It actually took
me 4! I'm usually good at understanding film plots but I think it was the names that got most confusing. So many were thrown around and many were characters that you saw for all of 2 minutes. but this is 1 of the reasons that makes it a great film! :D ...
