Disagree completely. Plenty of worse films than Jaws 2 got noticed. Plus if you want to use that argument then that could apply to all sequels....i.e just capitalizing on the original. Not so. Some sequels live up to the high quality of the originals. GODFATHER II is a case in point. It had as good a script and equally good acting to the original. The same can't be said for JII by any stretch.

ArthurDunga, you're right about that the scene was allready shot, but Ben's head was shot later on because after the first screening the testing audience found the scene boring. I'm pretty sure of this. But if I'm not... Don't hold it against me. ;-) Thanks for clearing (part of)this up.

JAWS will never be remade because we know now that great white sharks don't behave like that. The only "remakes" we have of it are the stupid "SyFy" Megalodon turds.

After they re-made "Psycho" people realized how stupid it is to re-make a true thriller. And I'm not talking a slasher pic like Halloween. A true thriller, like "Jaws" can never been done a second time.
