a sequel book was written which i read called war in the desert it took place in the middle east and the ground forces DID have to fight the aliens that survived the crash of their huge ships. The aliens put up a pretty good fight but ultimately lost. I am wondering what would happen with the worlds economy. i mean so many banks would have been destroyed and money as we know it might lose its meaning due to the near collapse of society, I am...

One ending I always thought would have been funny, is if the camera pans up from our 'heroes' at the end...only to suddenly watch as a piece of debris enters the foreground, and lands right on top of them. "HAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM!!!!"

A hydrogen bomb doesn't produce any fallout, it self-vaporizes completely, hence why there is such support behind nuclear fusion, it doesn't produce the radioactive waste that a nuclear fission plant would. No disrespect, but a statement like that reads like it came straight from a lobbyist's talking points paper... God willing, in the future there will either be no more nukes or the remaining nukes will be H-bombs of the sort...

His dad joked that he "spent 8 years at MIT to become a cable repairman." He definitely has the education, and as far as his job, I want to reiterate what has already been mentioned on here. Plus, he probably wasn't really a cable repairman. Cable companies do need scientists, engineers, researchers to come up with new cable technology, but it wasn't a very lucrative or ambitious job that he did have.

What about the MOAB, or something. Another thing that bugs me is why the B-2 Spirit's weren't shot down. They were flying in formation an none of the attackers got them, even that one B-2 that was flying straight toward it. And they weren't AMRAAM's for some reason all the F/A-18's were armed with AGM-84's. (ok there were a couple of AMRAAMs in there) "You go get 'em Little Friends!"

I haven't heard or read anything about Brent Spiner specifically attempting to mimic J.A.O, but on the trivia page here, it says: "Dr. Okun is a reference to Jeffrey A. Okun, one of the visual effects supervisors from director Roland Emmerich's previous film Stargate (1994)" Knowing that, I can't imagine it's a coincidence that Spiner's Okun resembles J.A.O. so closely.

good sequel: - the same actors like in part I - soundtrack by rammstein - extreme violence (r-rated film) (while ID4 1 was popcorn entertainment, part 2 should be GORY) - at the end should stand something epic like a fist fok human vs. alien Modern civilization is nothing but a failure.

The world probably united in an effort to salvage as much alien technology as possible. The cities that were destroyed were *beep* up beyond recognition, so we probably had to start all over, and smaller medium sized cities like Cincinnati, Denver and Manchester are probably now the worlds largest cities and centers for technology. I also think that most of the world would focus on rebuilding a ...

Because nukes would have caused a lot more collateral damage than your basic Earth nation is willing to inflict upon its own soil. The President and the military were both very uncomfortable with the idea of using it in the first place, understandably so. But you'd think they'd have come up with some backup for the fighters... didn't they have any ground or sea based cruise missiles left?...
