To the say that there are no OTT scenes is a little close minded but never the less it is an amazing movie. OTT scenes include: The miraculous return at the end by the badguy who was strangled to "death" by the chains. The Explosion that only seems to level one floor of the builing and yet doesnt effect it anywhere else. Meanwhile the explosiong comes up the shaft and seems to engulf mcclane but somehow he lives. I always took it that he knew it and was just lying to them and Hanz knew this and got peed off so this is why he killed him. You would think if there are 7 safety features on the fault, the managing director of of LA cooperation would know the keycode to the vault, or at the very least would be easily accessible to him.

By todays standards its all relatively conservative and confined. Compare it with Die Hard 4.0. The car smashing into the chopper. Thats 'OTT'.

Christmas movies need to be set in and around Christmas...and this is. So yeah, it's a Christmas movie. Would you say Home Alone is also NOT a Christmas movie? The plot has nothing to do with Christmas...but it's still regarded as a Christsmas movie. It's not about the plot, it's about the setting. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is God.

I would have to say Martin Riggs it was alluded to in the first Lethal Weapon installment, that Riggs had martial arts training. McClane to me is more of a street fighter. "Movies are like 34 different flavors, there's something for everyone."

Completely agree. Like you I was in the mood to watch this movie yesterday. Last time I saw this movie was about 6 years ago or more. But man, the action is still good, the acting is great, the humor was awesome....I spent a great time watching it again.

LOL. I think about the same when I see that, but knowing myself I would find the way to do it if it were needed (one arm and all). Know the tape holding the gun's weight is different. About the firehose wheel, well it could have gone through a window before pulling McClane, and THEN slowly rolling out... ;)
