Forget TVLand! They are no longer worth the time of day. You'll do much better buying or renting your favorite shows.I received the first two seasons of Lucy last year for Christmas and it was one of the best gifts I received.Don't even waste your time taping anything from TVLand Or Nick. They ain't what they used to be and I doubt they ever will be again.

Arnold the Pig from "Green Acres" is cool, too. He's one of the first to have his very own television set. You do not see much of anyone watching television on TV but Arnold did, and same with Grandpa Munster and Igor, when they would watch "My Three Sons" together. Speaking of "Green Acres," whose little dog was that in the Manhattan scenes? Lisa Douglas'? or Oliver...

Everyone seems to have their favorite Christmas movies and specials (A Christmas Story, A Charlie Brown Christmas, etc.) So, what Christmas specials and Christmas-themed movies do you consider to be your least favorite? Are there any you would prefer to see banished from the airwaves entirely, and why? I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

I have very fond memories of the movies which were presented each Saturday evening by NBC, starting back in 1961. It was the first time a network had aired big budget movies, and they were doing it prime time. My family loved to gather in the den every Saturday night and watch the great movies from 20th Century Fox (31 of them) that were provided by NBC for this bold experiment in competition ...

I just saw what I thought was a commercial for the upcomming seasonal airing of RankinBass's "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". It wasn't. It turned out to be all the characters from that tv special in an Afflack Health Insurance commercial!! Sidewalks have rights too! They refused to be stepped on anymore!

Does it bother you that they show movies & reality shows instead of TV shows from which the channel was created? I realize it's a real ratings war, everybody needs advertising dollars, but that used to be one of the channels you could count on to show something classic. Not having a 007 film in the year 2007 was a marketing mistake...

Here are the good ones IMO: Jaclyn Smith (made pact with devil), Linda Carter, Cheryl Ladd, Joan Collins (well she's like a 100 now but still looks decent for her age), Donna Mills, Michele Lee, Linda Gray to name a few. Here are the sad ones from recent pics I've seen recently: Don't know which one is the worst: Joan Van Ark, Farrah (what a shame!), Linda Evans (trout lips, check this week'...

I just wanted to know if anyone has seen today's "Pardon My Planet" panel, and wanted to know what you thought of it. I'm not going to say anything about what it was about, except to say that I was very surprised by it, being as old-school as I am when it comes to television.

Notice these days that nearly every channel/station/network is shrinking the ending credits of shows and then talking all over the music. I was making transfers of classic shows (not on DVD) recorded in 1995 and I was glad to see real ending credits. They do talk or pitch the next show on/over them but nowdays they shrink them down to 1/4 size and talk all over the shows audio track. Man how ...

I do not remember watching this show AT ALL, but I am a Doris fan. Was it terrible...or perhaps scheduled opposite a show I liked more?? I am certain it was not topical, and probably dated, even when new.... At any rate....the entire 5 seasons are being released in a box set. I've heard the first season is the best. Thoughts? ~~Ginger bread goes with coffee, but Ginger Rogers goes ...

You can find the DVD sets usually for less than 20 dollars each and that's for more than 30 episodes for most of the seasons and they're uncut and remastered. The video and audio quality is great on the DVDs. There are also lots of extras and a few episodes of Lucy's radio program " My Favorite Husband". I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's...depressing.
