Trailer: Best and Worst 2008
Published (2008-11-28 14:12:00)
Thanks for the link. It looks like it has potential, but it's a teaser trailer, so I'm not sure what I think yet. I heard Che is really ambitious, in part because of its length, and that it took a long time for them to find a studio. So... Nobody's innocent in this s***.

I don't know anyone who loved it, even the 15-25 year old guys I know. It was playing at a family gathering yesterday but they weren't interested in watching it. They said it was OK but not great. They put 40 year old virgin instead. It's surprising its IMDb rating is still high. You can't expect too much from this kind of film. It's just a popcorn movie. Entertaining at the time, but not very fulfilling.

I don't know how many of you went to theaters to see this "blockbuster" based on Mark Millar's graphic novel - I certainly did not. However, I did hear the Buzz around work (the local video store) about how bad it is. And when you hear about how bad something is - you normally decide that you need to decide for yourself. Which is what I did. So I rented it, and watched it 2 hrs ago. Sadly, I ...

Am I the only one who thought the movie Iron Man was mediocre at best? I mean, I didn't like it mainly because there was no romance in sight (if you don't like the fact that I like romance, then screw off), the first 1 3/4 hours were boring as hell, and the diologue was really basic and corny sometimes. Why people love it so much is against me.

Put down 5 films from the 1960s that you think deserve to be on this list. There's only one rule that everyone must stick to: You can only put down films that are NOT already on the list! No repeats! So please copy/paste the previous list and add to it. The list is numbered, but is in no particular order. 1. Lawrence of Arabia 2. Marnie 3. Alfie 4. Rosemary's Baby 5. Once Upon a Time ...

Okay, here's how this thread should work. A person lists two or more things, and the following person posts which one they like better. You can choose to change (or not change) the question at any time, just be sure that when you're responding, you respond to the question that's most recently been asked. Okay, I'll start. Pixar or Dreamworks?

You are watching a movie...then BANG!...something totally unexpected happens! Here are two of my most memorable "scare the sh!t out of me" scenes. Eight Below - when the sea leopard (I think) leaps out of the whale carcass! The Evil Dead - when the trapdoor opens and one of the characters gets stabbed in the ankle - I felt every bit of that pain! An honorable mention goes to "Alien" ...
