growling, intimidating like a wild animal Wouldn't really agree. They are deliberately designed to be ugly, that's right. On first sight at least. And they are taller than humans. But being "intimidating like a wild animal" wasn't how I exprienced them. Rather strange, strong and lacking self control. "prodding" a prawn Prodding with what appeared to be a kind of electrical taser, like used...

To a point I tend to agree with you. Is it the accent used by actors like Hakeem Kae-Kazeem you are referring to? It sounds a bit like a mixture of the French, British and some African accents. I seem to remember that Mr Echo (from Lost) spoke with the same accent (I could be wrong?). That said - Nigerians that I have met and chatted to and over-heard, did have that accent, though not as pronounced. Africa has such a mixture of rich accents...

Nicely done video, although i have nothing nice to say about your distribution techniques retter :-( Your man there is no "Trent from Punchy" but he is a bit of a headcase, im sure i would hate him if i met him, but to see him get it together is somewhat satisfying ========MNU Announcement======= Remember, a smile is cheaper than a bullet

Im of Irish Decent - do i hate the English? They wont move on, so they are left in the dust. Too bad for them. I've often observed that people who are hostile to one group of people are often hostile to others as well. It's rarely ethnicity-specific.

And maybe you should come down from your high horse ? First you tell us we do not have a brain (which we do), and when we actually explain to you that we do have a brain and that we are able to use critical thinking, you lash back dumbly and childishly like this ? What kind of moron are you ?

Well firstly I don't think that the accent should've really mattered that much but it does speak to the ignorance of the viewing public that we can't distinguish between various accents.
Secondly, I don't believe that it was out of place to use ' crime boss' type crime lords because, as I understand it, corruption is rampant throughout the continent of Africa with a few exceptions but ...

Fair point there Copyright1994, and I certainly bear what you say in mind, but based on the number of people out there who talk complete trash, you really are preaching to the choir. I gave the movie a 10, but only because it was the genre of film that I liked, I thought it was a refreshing and original concept, and I really enjoyed it; I haven't felt this good about a film in years.

There is no defense for this crappy film. The only way they can justfy it is to call anyone who brings up something perfectly reasonable to blow holes in is to say they re dumb and cover their ears going LA LA LA. Because thats what people do when you question it. That my friend is the text book defination of a fanboy/girl. Someone who gives an emotional response rather than logical one to defend...

Dude
it was a hint. Maybe a little too decent, but I generally try to avoid flame fests. Still, I thought quoting that particular statement made it abundantly clear who or what would have the best chances of being considered dumb.

I'm guessing it was because the film was financed by American and New Zealand companies. I believe " QED" is from New Zealand.

I agree there are 'cheap' plot moves, such as the fuel changing Wikus into one of the aliens, but I'd just like to point out that I would love to cum all over your little mouth.

My favorite quote has to be: "I WILL TAKE YOU HOME IN A F#CKING JAR!"
The delivery was vicious.
2011: untitled sci-fi flick from - Neill Blomkamp.

granted there is truth in what you say
but Nigerians are not bad people, just in this movie the bad people happen to be Nigerian
and its probably worth noting that there were other groups of bad people who weren't Nigerian
Necromancy doesn't change the fact that Ron Perlman has a few gorillas in his family tree

This is not only a good point, but it could have lead to MNU actually being able to duplicate the process and modify their mercs to be able to use the alien weaponry, taking the story off in a slightly different direction.
That being said, I still nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed D9 and it remains one of my favourite movies of all time, in spite of some of it's failings.
