Its not as easy as it is now then back then in 1992. You know have programs to edit like final cut pro, nice and HD cameras like the HV30, a 100 dollar shotgun mic, and some 30 dollar lights from menards, and it will look like Clerks. I will plan to film my own short films soon and plan on spending around 700-800 total.

What do you guys think of the original ending, where Dante got shot and killed by a robber? "I'm not even supposed to be here today!" is suddenly the most tragic line in movie history after that! "They call it the American dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it"

It's so damn depressing. And yeah, the line about him not supposed to be there that day makes it all the more morbid. I'm so insanely glad Kevin Smith decided not to use that ending. Over the course of the movie you get to know Dante, so it's actually sad when he gets shot. Especially when they show the close up of his face before and after it happens. IMDb: Where opinion is fact.
