Does anyone know it?
Billy Wilder more or less says that his fantasy of the ideal woman would be Barbara Stanwyck waiting for him in a kitchen wearing nothing but an apron.
Anyone recall it verbatim?
Thanks!
Sounds a bit like a quote from
Herman Mankiewicz. I don't have a year, but here's his quote:

Depends on the type of films you like I guess. I much prefer
Wilder over Kubrick any day. Kubrick was more of technical/visual director as Wilder (as he has stated in interviews) is not so much. But over anybody, Hitchcock is my favorite (even though that wasn't a part of the discussion ).

Out of those, I'd say that Sunset Blvd. wins by a small margin. Beautifully shot and directed from
beginning to end.
The rest are so close though! Wow.. now I'm not even sure. :)

Agreed. Maybe when I'm a sexually frustrated
middle-aged man I'll be able to get into it.
I am shocked, *shocked* to find that gambling goes on in here!
